Mourn Mr. Zhou Huijun.

Ling Zhensan. When the sad news of the death of Mr. Zhou Huijun, whom I respect very much, came, the grief was indescribable, and the past came to my heart with tears.

In the early 70s of the 20th century, as a lover of calligraphy, I bought a book by Mr. Hui Jun in Xinhua Bookstore "Xingshu Copybook - Selected Poems of Lu Xun", which was like encountering a green shade on a desert beach, and occasionally seeing a clear spring, which made me excited and excited. I was very interested in learning Xi, and I was suddenly overwhelmed by the vigorous, dashing, and flowing style of calligraphy. Zhou Huijun's name came into my heart for the first time.

In fact, in that era, Zhou Huijun's name also entered the hearts of hundreds of millions of calligraphy lovers, and a wave of "Zhou Huijun fever" soon spread to the whole country, Japan and Southeast Asia.

In 1993, Yancheng was preparing to build a cable TV station, and the leaders asked me for my opinion, who should I ask to inscribe the name of the station? I blurted out: Zhou Huijun. The leader also agreed without hesitation.

Teacher Zhou Huijun is rigorous and serious. She had to inscribe a week in advance, and she never wrote in person. She has to write and compare repeatedly at home until she is satisfied.

A few days later, I went to her house near Nanjing West Road in Shanghai to pick up words. She handed me the handwriting and started talking to me. Teacher Zhou learned Xi calligraphy very hard, at that time, her family was small, the population was large, there was no place to write during the day, and every day she had to wait until 90 o'clock in the evening after the family went to bed, then set up a small table and began to swim in the sea of books.

Mr. Zhou studied chemical engineering and worked at the Shanghai Institute of Chemical Industry. Later, the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy transferred her, and she entered the Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy without hesitation. I asked her why, and she replied simply: hobbies. When I was leaving, he gave me a calligraphy "Careful Thinking", which became my permanent treasure.

However, looking back on Ms. Zhou's life, she never paid attention to her own propaganda and never hyped up. On the contrary, she also dedicated her remuneration to set up a ** meeting to praise post-graduates and motivate those who come. Such a spiritual realm, such a behavior and integrity are even more precious. Teacher Zhou Huijun is my eternal idol.
