The Huangting Jing is a Taoist scripture, which is divided into three types: the Jade Scripture of the Yellow Court, the Jade Scripture of the Yellow Court, the Jade Scripture of the Outer Scene of the Yellow Court, and the Jade Classic of the Yellow Court. The name of the scripture has a meaning: yellow is the color of ** earth in the five elements, and the court is in the four directions. The word "Huangting" is a metaphor for the human body, the hollow acupoint.

Huang Tingjing is an important classic of the Shangqing School of Taoism, which was obtained by Mrs. Wei, the founding patriarch of the Shangqing School during the Western Jin Dynasty. The Shangqing faction improved the Dao of the Heavenly Master, did not emphasize the art of Fu Zheng, and attached importance to the way of contemplation. "Huang Ting Jing" typically represents the cultivation method of the Shangqing School, and is a Taoist treatise on health preservation and cultivation of immortals. The Huang Ting Jing believes that all parts of the human body have gods, and absorbs the theories of ancient medicine on the viscera, meridians, and essence, and focuses on the theories and methods of contemplating the body and mind and maintaining the essence and qi.

The Huangting Exterior Scene Sutra tells about the methods of fetal breathing, coughing and pharyngeal, vipassana, convincing, contrivance, and solidifying essence. pointed out that Huang Ting was above Guan Yuan, Secluded in the back, and the door of life was in front. Huang Ting collects the liquid and produces essence, which is the "spiritual root" of people; The dantian or life gate is the cave where the essence is stored, and it is the foundation of human life.

The "Huangting Neijing Jing" clearly puts forward the theory of "three dantians", that is, the upper part of the brain is a mud pill, there are nine palaces, and nine true dwellings; In the middle of the heart is the Jiang Palace, and the main guard god has the heart of Dan Yuan;Between the lower two kidneys is the gate of life, which is the place where the essence is hidden. The cultivation method of the "Neijing Sutra" is mainly to "enter the room and recite the "Jade Chapter" to the east", contemplating the body and spirit, and silently reciting its name. Compared with the Outer Scene Sutra, the Inner Jing Jing Jing emphasizes more on contemplating the body and spirit, so it can better represent the typical cultivation method of the Shangqing School.

Interestingly, not only within Taoism, but even in the ** story, there are "two sages" who are influenced by the "Huang Ting Jing". These two saints are both well-known figures. One of them is the Monkey King. When Sun Wukong was still the Monkey King, he asked for a teacher. It wasn't until he came to Lingtai Mountain in Nanbu Zhou that he heard a woodcutter singing a word: Watching chess and rotten, logging Dingding. The last sentence is "Where we meet, if you are not an immortal, you will sit quietly and talk about "Huang Ting". As soon as Sun Wukong heard the "Huang Ting Jing", he knew that there were immortals on the mountain, and he really worshiped under the Bodhi ancestor.

The above is just a family saying. During the Eastern Jin Dynasty, the sage Wang Xizhi was really familiar with the "Huang Ting Jing". Wang Xizhi is a devout Taoist and is very familiar with the Huang Ting Jing. There was a Taoist priest in Shanyin who liked Wang Xizhi's calligraphy very much, so he wanted him to write a "Huang Ting Jing" for himself. But the mountain ** scholar and Wang Xizhi are not familiar with each other, and no one can introduce them. So the Taoist priest came up with a solution.

It turns out that Wang Xizhi is very fond of big white geese. The Taoist priest inquired about his hobby and raised a flock of white geese on the mountain, hoping to attract the attention of the sage. Sure enough, when Wang Xi went out once, he liked this group of vigorous white geese very much. So I offered to buy it. The mountain ** scholar took the opportunity to say, "These are not for sale, but if you can write a "Huang Ting Jing" for me, then this group of geese can be given to you!Wang Xizhi readily agreed. This is the story of calligraphy for white goose.

When later generations recited this story, they always ignored a protagonist intentionally or unintentionally: "Huang Tingjing". You must know that this sutra systematically puts forward the theory of the Three Dantians, the Eight Scenes and the Twenty-Four Truths, and the corresponding cultivation methods for preserving the truth, which has a special significance for the formation of the Shangqing School. Some of the contents of the Huang Ting Jing are closer to the Inner Dan Technique than the Great Cave Sutra, and the medical theories in it also have a wide influence. Therefore, "Huang Tingjing" has had a significant impact in the history of Taoism and the history of Chinese culture, and it is a well-deserved protagonist in the Taoist classic.
