Counterattack!Alexander 38 5, Klay back to the top, Curry 34 6 go all out
On December 9, on their home court, they won 138-136 against the Warriors. Despite beating Portland before, they will still struggle to win this game, especially since they have lost their previous two games. The Warriors are currently in a terrible streak as they sit 11th in the East 10-11 against the Thunder. The starting lineup is: Curry, Klay, Wiggins, Green, Looney vs. Keady, Alexander, Dort, Jalen Williams, Holmgren.
Soon after the opening, Curry and Wiggins hit one after another, and Green also created many offensive errors for the opponent. Klay hit a three-pointer to give Golden State a five-point lead. Then, Alexander and several other teammates failed to hit, and Green and others hit several three-pointers in a row to give the Warriors an 11-point lead. Although the Thunder still had a color, they still ended the game by nine points in the first quarter.
In the second quarter, the Golden State Warriors had a 14-point advantage due to back-to-back goals from Wiggins and Curry. However, over the next period of time, the Warriors began to make mistakes, and Aaron Wiggins hit a three-pointer to help the team close the deficit to six points, and after halftime, they were reduced to only six points.
In the third quarter, the Thunder launched several attacks to overtake the score to 2 points. Curry hit a last-minute three-pointer to help his side win, but it wasn't long before Alexander's brilliant play from inside the box leveled the game with their opponents. As the game drew to a close, the Warriors' defense was broken down and Holmgren's big outburst allowed them to emerge. Although Curry hit a three-pointer, the Warriors' morale began to drop, and Holmgren also scored a goal to drag the two teams into overtime. In overtime, the Thunder outscored the Warriors 138-136 on a 9-3 offensive run.
Although Alexander didn't shoot much from three-point range, he scored well in the restricted area, finishing with 38 points, five rebounds and four assists. Holmgren finished the game with 21 points, seven rebounds and one assist, and three free throws sent the team into overtime.
On the Warriors' side, Klay and Curry have performed very well, and Klay has returned to his best level. However, a mistake by Green just before the end of the game caused the game to fail, and his foul allowed Holmgren to score, depriving the Warriors of their normal chances. In the end, Curry had 34 six rebounds and three assists, Klay had 22 and four rebounds, and Green had 12, five and 13 assists.
