If someone asks us why we want to lose weight, our answer may be to want to be beautiful, good-looking, healthy, etc., but this answer is not specific, but a bit empty, today I try to use the knowledge learned from the nutrition manager, to tell you a specific process, follow the process and carefully answer 5 questions, you can most likely find the real reason why you want to lose weight.
The method we use is called the 5 why analysis, and it's a way to explore the cause of a problem. Ask a question multiple times (5 times) in a row, and each "why" is followed by another "why?"."Until the source of the problem is identified.
First question: Why do I want to lose weight?
Reason: I feel like I'm too heavy and doesn't look good at all.
The second question: Why do you feel that your current weight makes you look bad?
Reason: I can't wear my previous clothes, and I don't look good with them.
The third question: Why do you have to wear your old clothes? Why is it important for me to wear my old clothes and look good together?
Why: I used to hang out with my friends a lot, but now it's rare.
Fourth question: Why does this make me uncomfortable?
Reason: I lost weight and became less confident and didn't want to see my friends.
Question 5: Lack of self-confidence makes me unhappy, right?
Reason: Yes. I miss the days when I used to see my friends, and I wanted to slim down and wear decent clothes to meet my friends.
Through the above methods, we can basically find the real reason why we want to lose weight. If you feel that the above method is too cumbersome and want a simpler method, then ask the following question and think about it
"How would I feel if I achieved my goal? What's going to be different?”
The answer we give is the real reason why you want to lose weight. When we want to give up, we might as well ask this question again, the real reason is likely to keep you going.
A reasonable weight loss goal is half the battle, and a real weight loss cause can keep us going longer. Come on, I wish we all meet a better version of ourselves!
