Recommendation 1
Recently, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development issued a notice on the "Measures for the Management of Urban Parks (Draft for Comments)" for public consultation, to solicit opinions widely to promote the development of urban parks and improve the urban ecology and living environment. The Neighborhood Biodiversity Conservation Working Group (BCON Working Group) of the China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Association (China Green Development Association and Green Development Society) actively responded to the call, organized serious research and discussion, and now put forward the following 8 suggestions and opinions for its scientific decision-making reference. The following is [Recommendation 1].
Suggestion.
1. In [Article 1], it is proposed to add "promote green development through biodiversity conservation and promote the construction of ecological civilization".
[Reason for suggestion].To implement the spirit of the speech made by our leaders at the second high-level meeting of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity held in Montreal, Canada in December 2022, it is urgent to take the protection of biodiversity as the starting point for promoting green development. 【Article 1】It serves as a strategic goal and guiding ideology, and plays the role of an outline, so this part should fully reflect the concept of biodiversity conservation, and take ecological civilization as the guiding ideology, so as to better promote the harmonious coexistence of man and nature, help the mainstreaming of biodiversity conservation, and jointly build a community of life on earth.
