The Lujiang Academy Cultural Tourism Zone will be among the national 4A level scenic spots

On December 12, the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism issued a public announcement that 22 tourist attractions are planned to be identified as national 4A-level scenic spots, and the Lujiang Academy Cultural Tourism Zone in Liling City is among them.

As one of the three major academies in Huxiang, Lujiang Academy is located in the community of Zuoquan Road in the west of Liling City, surrounded by mountains on three sides, facing Lushui, covering an area of nearly 7,000 square meters. It was built in the second year of Chunxi in the Southern Song Dynasty (1175), and then moved to Xishan from the Qingyun Mountain of Dongzheng Street, the Song and Ming dynasties were all the palaces of learning, and the eighteenth year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty (1753) was officially named Lujiang Academy. It is the largest school-running scale, the longest school-running time, the most far-reaching influence of the academy built in Liling, and it is also the only academy in Liling that has been preserved to this day, known as "the place where the great Confucianism lectures, the place where the important ministers come out in large numbers", Zhu Xi, Lu Zuqian, Wang Shouren and other great Confucians have lectured here, and Zuo Zongtang, an important minister in the late Qing Dynasty, served as the chief of the mountain for three years, Li Li.

3. Famous figures such as Zuo Quan, Cai Shengxi, Song Shilun, and Chen Mingren walked out from this.

In 2013, Lujiang Academy was rated as a national key cultural relics protection unit, and in 2017, it was promoted to a national 3A-level scenic spot.
