In today's rapid development of science and technology, the development of screen technology is like a silent revolution, constantly promoting the progress of mobile phones, computers, TVs and other electronic devices. And in this revolution, Samsung, the former hegemon, is facing unprecedented challenges.

Let's go back in time to that era when LCD screens dominated, and Samsung successfully led the transformation from LCD to OLED with its superior technology and marketing strategy. At that time, Samsung was undoubtedly the leader of screen technology, and its OLED screen had a market share of up to 90% in the global market, which was unmatched. However, just as all glory will come to an end, Samsung's OLED supremacy is also beginning to waver.

With the rapid development of domestic screen technology, domestic OLED screens have gradually emerged, stealing part of Samsung's market share. This is not an overnight miracle, but the result of continuous breakthroughs and surpasses in screen technology by Chinese companies. With firm determination and unremitting efforts, they gradually broke the monopoly of Samsung, allowing global consumers to see the strength of Chinese screens.

And in the more advanced MiniLED and MicroLED segments, Samsung has also encountered serious challenges. In 2022, Samsung dominated the global miniLED TV market, with a market share of 70%. However, just a year later, the situation has changed dramatically. According to DSCC, in the third quarter of 2023, Samsung's MiniLED TV market share has plummeted to 39% from 70% last year.

Behind this shift is the strong rise of Chinese brands Hisense and TCL. In just one year, their Mini LED TV shipments have increased 18 times, reaching market shares of 27% and 26%, respectively, and the two together exceed 53%, firmly in the first camp, surpassing Samsung. Such an achievement is undoubtedly the best proof of China's screen technical strength.

In this process, we have seen the tenacity and innovation of domestic screen companies. They have not only caught up with and surpassed Samsung in technology, but also demonstrated unique wisdom in market strategy. The success of Hisense and TCL is not only because of the excellent quality of their products, but also because they can accurately grasp the market demand and respond quickly to changes, so as to stand out in the fierce market competition.

Looking ahead, we can foresee that domestic screen companies will continue to challenge Samsung Electronics and LG Electronics' dominance in the high-end TV market in the Mini LED and MicroLED product lines. Their rise is not only an important affirmation of China's manufacturing, but also a profound change in the global display technology landscape.

Although Samsung's dominance in screen technology has been shaken, we cannot ignore its past contributions. However, today's stage belongs to those companies that dare to challenge and innovate. In this era full of opportunities and challenges, we have reason to believe that domestic screen companies will go global with more confidence and firmness and lead the development of future display technology.
