Is there any way to test the quality of the sealing tape?

Sealing tape has a wide range of applications in our daily life and work, however, how to judge its *** bad? Here are some ways to test how good the packing tape is:

1. Tensile test: take a section of sealing tape, apply a certain tensile force in its transverse and longitudinal directions, and then observe its tensile condition. A good quality sealing tape should have good tensile properties and will not break or deform. If the tensile properties of the sealing tape are not good, it will affect its adhesion and sealing effect.

2. Stickiness test: The stickiness of the sealing tape is an important factor to ensure its firm pasting. There are two ways to test its stickiness:

a. Holding force test: Paste the sealing tape on the standard test board, and then place it in a constant temperature and humidity environment for 24 hours, and then measure its holding force, that is, the force required to remove the tape from the test board. In general, the higher the holding force, the better the stickiness of the sealing tape.

b. Initial adhesion test: take a section of sealing tape, paste it on the inclined test board, and then gradually increase the tilt angle to observe when the sealing tape slides. The sealing tape with good initial tack is better resistant to sliding, thus ensuring the firmness of the paste.

3. Peeling force test: paste the sealing tape between two metal sheets, then apply a certain pressure to make it fully contact, and then peel off the metal sheet at a certain speed to observe its peeling force. A good quality case sealing tape should have a low peel force that allows the user to easily remove it from the adhesive material.

4. Abrasion resistance test: Under standard conditions, the sealing tape is subjected to a certain number of friction tests to observe whether its surface is worn or blurred. Abrasion resistant sealing tape can withstand long-term use and maintain its good use effect.

5. Temperature denaturation test: the sealing tape is treated at high temperature and low temperature to observe whether its physical properties change. A good quality sealing tape should be able to maintain good results in both high and low temperature environments.

6. Transparency test: observe the transparency of the sealing tape. In general, a good quality sealing tape should have a high degree of clarity and be able to clearly see the surface of the object being adhered to.

7. Elastic recovery test: take a piece of sealing tape, bend it at a certain angle and release it, and observe its elastic recovery. A good quality sealing tape should have good elastic recovery performance and be able to quickly return to its original state.

To sum up, through the above seven aspects of testing, we can comprehensively evaluate the quality of the sealing tape. These test methods not only help us select high-quality box sealing tapes, but also guide us to use and maintain them correctly.
