In the Xiangzhang Square on Jiangchuan Road Street, the street's first vertical lift parking garage has recently been installed and put into use. It is reported that the biggest feature of the three-dimensional parking garage is to save land resources, covering an area of only about 160 square meters, and the area of a large house, but can provide 120 parking spaces, for the region to solve the problem of "parking difficulties", opened up new ideas and methods.
If it is converted to a flat car park, it will need to occupy an area of 600 square meters, even if the shared area such as the carriageway and turning radius is not considered. During the day, community commercial complexes and other places are overcrowded, and parking is "hard to find", but at night, parking spaces will be idle, showing a "tidal" characteristic. According to this phenomenon, the street opened the idea of expansion, built a platform, negotiated and co-built, and strived to "wake up" idle parking resources, promote the sharing of off-peak parking in commercial complexes in the jurisdiction, and coordinate Xiangzhang Square, Real Estate Plaza, Jinyue Lefang Square (formerly Bijiang Square), Huanleli Southwest **, etc. to release shared parking spaces to the surrounding communities.
According to the relevant person in charge, up to now, there have been 5 commercial complexes, 4 public parking lots (libraries) and 1 park and surrounding community units to provide off-peak parking to the community, effectively revitalizing the idle parking resources in the area.
