Recently, the Jiangpu community launched the second phase of the Treasure Cottage Life Education Workshop series "My Dream is My Master", allowing children to explore their own potential, find their dreams in life, and feel the meaning and value of life through game interaction.
With the theme of "My Dreams, I Am the Master", the event has four major links: You Say I Guess, Weeds' Dream, My Dream Garden, and Flying Dreams, aiming to shorten the distance between group members through game interaction, promote group members' communication and interaction, introduce thinking about dream issues in the form of animated short films, and clarify their life goals in communication and sharing.
The social worker first took the children to review the previous activity and guided the children to share their own plant growth. Through the exchange and sharing of experience, everyone understood that the growth of a small life needs to be patiently cared for.
In the ice-breaking session, the social worker took the children to play the game of "you say I guess", and in a cheerful and tense atmosphere, the children gradually entered the state. The game words are set to the names of various occupations, so as to introduce the theme of this event and inspire the group members to further think about their dream careers.
Subsequently, the children took the question ** animated short film "Weed's Dream". "Weeds have qualities such as perseverance, bravery, and not being afraid of difficulties, and it is because of these qualities that even in the scorching sun, the road under our feet is difficult to walk, and we still realize our dreams and let our seeds be irrigated by spring water. A child said. During the discussion, everyone thought more deeply about the topic of dreams, and also knew that realizing dreams is not a simple thing and requires more efforts.
"My Dream Tree" leaves represent children's dreams, tree trunks represent the qualities of realizing dreams, sunlight and soil represent people or things that help in the process of realizing dreams, which means that children are guided to write or draw their dream careers, including doctors, captains, racing drivers, scientists, etc., in a visual and interesting form, fill the dream tree, and inspire group members to further think about the uncertainty in their dreams and learn to be grateful.
At the end of the activity, the social worker distributed coloured cardboard to the children and asked them to make their own dream paper airplanes. Write your dreams on paper airplanes, draw your favorite patterns, and let the small airplanes carry the colorful dreams of children.
It is reported that the Treasure Cottage project was initiated by the Shanghai United Public Welfare Association and implemented by the Shanghai Ruijia Social Worker Service Agency, providing after-school education-based security protection, social integration, talent development, interest cultivation and other services by creating a children's home space.
