The completion of high-quality education is the cornerstone of any country's prosperity and development. As a senior secondary school teacher, I have worked hard for 38 years to take on the responsibility of nurturing the next generation. In June of last year, I finally ushered in the moment of retirement, stripping myself of the old busyness of the podium and entering a new retirement life. At the same time, I can also proudly declare that I deserve it when it comes to pensions. Next, I will talk about my personal views and thoughts on this topic through my personal experience.

1. Difficult to be admitted to a normal college: In 1979, the third year of the resumption of the college entrance examination, it was not easy to be admitted to a normal college. At that time, I attended a high school in a county town, and there were 52 students in our class, of whom only 17 were girls. Although I wasn't in the top of my class, I was in the middle of the pack. In the year of the college entrance examination, the students with excellent grades in our class were admitted to engineering colleges, while the students with medium grades were admitted to normal colleges and medical universities. The middle-level students were admitted to secondary schools such as financial schools, nursing schools, and police academies. Unfortunately, half of the students were not admitted to the college for various reasons. At that time, being able to be admitted to a college or secondary school could almost be said to be the pride of the sky.

Addendum: In those days, the competition for the college entrance examination was very fierce. Due to the lack of educational resources, the number of places in universities and colleges is very limited, so for every student, the college entrance examination is a crucial exam. Therefore, being able to successfully be admitted to the normal college means that we have withstood the test and demonstrated our own advantages and strength. It also made me deeply realize the importance of education for personal growth and social development. )

2. Low social status and salary level: When I graduated from university in 1983, the social status and salary level of teachers at that time were very low. Compared to my corporate career classmates, my salary is not comparable to theirs. At that time, I could only receive a fixed salary of a few dozen yuan a month, while my classmates were already able to get a salary of more than 100 yuan or even higher. I don't have any bonuses or benefits other than a fixed salary. I remember one time when I took my three-year-old daughter to the mall, she took a fancy to a stroller that cost 18 yuan, but I couldn't afford it. My daughter was rolling on the ground and crying. In order to make my daughter happy, I could only borrow 6 yuan to buy her favorite stroller. Looking at my daughter's happy smile, I felt both joy and hardships in my heart.

Addendum: At that time, teachers, as the cornerstone and soul of society, were neglected because of their low salary. Teachers are not being duly rewarded for their work and contributions, and they are also facing the dilemma of living standards. However, it is this special experience that makes us teachers cherish every penny of salary and devote themselves to the cause of education more dedicatedly. )

3. Perseverance in the career of a teacher: There are not many people in the entire teaching staff who can persevere in teaching and carry it through until retirement. At that time, I was assigned to the school along with nine other teachers, and only two, including me, were able to make it to retirement. During that period, many first-class organs and institutions came to the school to recruit talents, and courts, procuratorates, etc. had to go to the school to recruit people. Many people choose to work in the public service, and some people are transferred to large enterprises through various connections. Others left their jobs and went to start their own businesses in the tertiary sector of the school. And there really aren't many people like us who have been in teaching positions all the time. In the face of the phenomenon of teachers changing one term after another, those of us who persevere, some because there is no other opportunity, and some because of the firm belief in the cause of education. In this process, we have experienced many trials and tribulations, and our persistence is not easy.

Addendum: The teaching profession is a profession full of challenges and responsibilities. In the journey of teaching, we need to face many difficulties and hardships, we need to always maintain care for students' thoughts and studies, and we need to constantly improve our teaching level. It's not an easy process, but it's because of our love for education and care for our students that we teachers are able to stick to our posts and keep working hard. )

Fourth, the status of the education industry has been improved and the retirement benefits have been improved: The country has gradually begun to pay attention to the field of education, and our teachers have gradually realized the sweetness of this concern. Ten years of trees, a hundred years of education, education is the hope of the country's future. The importance of families to children's education and the country's emphasis on talent training are gradually increasing, which provides strong support for the social status of our teachers. In just a few decades, the social status of our teachers has been significantly improved, and the level of salaries has also increased. We teachers finally got a taste of some sweetness. However, there are also some rumors in the society that some people claim that teachers earn a lot of income through make-up classes, and that teachers' salaries are too high, and their pensions are much higher than those of civil servants, which is very unfair. However, these people do not understand the arduous journey that we teachers have traveled, and they may not be aware of the challenges and dedication we have taken during our tenure. This may also be a specific misconception and bias that some people have about the teacher community. As a teacher, I feel that my pension is relatively good, but I personally don't think it's unfair. I am proud of my efforts, and I am also grateful to the state and ** for the attention and support of the education industry, giving our teachers a higher retirement treatment.

Now that I'm retired, I'm enjoying a great retirement. I am grateful for the importance that the country and ** have placed on the education profession, as well as for the generosity of our teachers. At the same time, I would also like to thank myself for my hard work when I was young, and after ten years of hard study, I had the opportunity to be named on the gold list. Even though I have said goodbye to the three-foot podium, I still have a deep love and respect for the cause of education. After my retirement, I will continue to focus on the development of education, give support and help to students and young teachers, and make my own contribution to the cause of education.

Finally, I would like to stress once again that although my pension is not low, I am well acknowledged about it. This is an affirmation of my years of hard work and education, as well as the recognition and reward of the state and society for the teaching profession. I will always be grateful and proud of my educational career, past, present and future.
