In 2007, Zhang Yuecheng was transferred to People's Square Station, a key station in the city center that carries a huge daily passenger flow. He has become the backbone of passenger flow control, shuttling through the triangular transfer hall every day, wearing white gloves, holding a police horn, and sweating to guide the passenger flow. In emergency situations, he always rushes to the front.
One minute after arriving at the post, 60 seconds will be dedicated. I am a front-line policeman, I often go outside the station, run more and see more, there are so many entrances and exits at the People's Square Station, I must be familiar with all the terrain, I must be very familiar with the surrounding environment, in order to meet the needs of public security work. Zhang Yuecheng said.
In the large flow of passengers, Zhang Yuecheng exercised a pair of "fiery eyes". He recalled: "There was once a fugitive, at 9:50 p.m., he came down from the 19th entrance, I saw that this person seemed to have some problems, I saluted him and asked him to show his ID card, he said that he was the chef of the department store upstairs, I said that the chef also had to show his ID card, but he was always unwilling to cooperate, and the last check was that he was a fugitive." ”
In the work of identifying suspicions and checking them, Zhang Yuecheng was among the best. He said: "In the beginning, we encountered a lot of difficulties and obstacles in carrying out the investigation of suspicions. I always feel that we are a humanoid bayonet in the subway, and the suspicion and investigation is not blind, and I can't easily let go of a suspicious person. ”
Zhang Yuecheng's wife Jiang Ping said: "I know the hardships and difficulties of the police profession, but I have no regrets and have been silently supporting his work. ”
Serving the masses is also a duty that should be fulfilled. Zhang Yuecheng left "gentleness" to passengers, helping elderly passengers in and out of the station, helping passengers with large luggage, and escorting disabled passengers, all of which he sees as "hands-on" in his daily work.
We, the police, must crack down on criminals and deter them, but we must be gentle with the people and serve the people is our purpose. Zhang Yuecheng said.
He shared an experience of encountering an elderly male passenger lying on the ground in the People's Square station. He quickly stepped forward to inquire about the situation, and found that the old man had a strong smell of alcohol and slurred speech. He immediately dialed 120, contacted the station staff, and prepared warm water for the old man. Although the old man was ultimately fine, it was a scene in his daily routine.
Zhang Yuecheng said: "Our every move will bring a lot of warmth to the passengers. Our police officers working in subway stations face a large flow of people every day, and while doing a good job in ensuring public safety, it is also our duty to serve the masses in a real way. ”
