Song Yan, a representative of the National People's Congress, said.
Song Yan joined the Nanjing Museum in 1989 and was transferred to the Six Dynasties Museum in 2014, where she is currently the deputy director of the Nanjing Museum. Over the past 34 years, she has witnessed the development of cultural and museum undertakings in Nanjing and even the whole country. As a witness to the development of the cultural and museum industry, Song Yan is pleased to see that walking into museums is becoming a way of life for the public, but years of front-line work experience make her a little worried: when people are in the museum exhibition hall and faced with a variety of exhibits, how many people really understand the exhibits and the exhibition?
One of the reasons is that many museums are too professional in their exhibitions and do not serve their audiences in a variety of ways. Song Yan believes that if the audience only stays at the stage of taking pictures and checking in and posting a circle of friends when they visit the Six Dynasties Museum, then this part of the audience will not fully understand the culture of the Six Dynasties. Feeling this, and in order to avoid "one side of a thousand museums", the Six Dynasties Museum has stood in the perspective of ordinary audiences from the very beginning of the exhibition. From the moment the audience stepped into the museum, the expressions in the history of literature, such as "Wei and Jin Dynasty Style" and "Wang Xie Romance", seemed to turn into a picture that could be seen and felt in an instant.
When the volunteers of the "Six Dynasties" wore overalls printed with the logo of the Six Dynasties Museum's "Human Face Pattern Wadang", smiling and telling the history of more than 1,000 years ago, the audience was also taken into a distant time and space tunnel, drinking with Ji Kang and having a dialogue with Wang Xizhi ......In 2018, the "Six Chaoqing" volunteer service team won the nomination award of the 9th "Hand in Hand History - Top Ten Volunteer Stars of Chinese Museums" and "Excellent Volunteer Service Team" of the Chinese Museums Association.

From the first day of employment, Song Yan hopes to protect cultural relics for the rest of her life. More than 30 years have passed, and Song Yan's original intention has not changed. In order to make cultural relics "live", she believes that cultural and museum workers should not only do a good job in the protection, utilization and display of cultural heritage, tell the story of the past and present life of cultural relics and the cultural significance behind them, but also do a good job in building the brand of the event and root cultural self-confidence in the hearts of the public.

Since the opening of the Six Dynasties Museum, on the one hand, it has insisted on establishing a long-term and effective museum-school cooperation model with primary and secondary schools, combining museum education with primary and secondary school courses, and creating a brand of educational activities that complement the teaching contentOn the other hand, the "Six Chaoqing" volunteers were organized to go into the community and go to the masses. In recent years, the Six Dynasties Museum has cooperated deeply with the Nanjing Institute of Archaeology to hold an exhibition of archaeological achievements every year. During this summer's vacation, the Six Dynasties Museum, the China Cultural Relics Exchange Center, and eight Italian museums jointly held the "Eternal Beauty: Greek Era Painted Pottery and Puglian Art and Culture Special Exhibition". More than 100 precious cultural relics have traveled through history and crossed thousands of mountains and rivers from Puglia, Italy to Nanjing, China, where they shine with Chinese civilization in the Six Dynasties Museum and jointly perform a dialogue between civilizations.
Song Yan believes that cultural relics should have a life course, they not only have a brilliant past and a dignified present, but also should "walk" to the future in a healthy way.
Defend the "root" and "soul" of history and culture
In January this year, Song Yan was elected as a deputy to the National People's Congress. During the two sessions of the National People's Congress this year, she submitted four proposals, and the relevant state departments replied to them. She was most concerned about the "Proposal on the Construction of the (China) Yangtze River Cultural Museum in Nanjing", and the relevant leaders of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism made a special trip to Nanjing to have in-depth communication with her on the content of the proposal.
As a cultural and museum worker, Song Yan is very concerned about the work of the procuratorate in public interest litigation and the protection of cultural relics and cultural heritage. As early as 2007, when Song Yan was elected as a deputy to the People's Congress of Baixia District (now merged into Qinhuai District) in Nanjing, she paid more attention to procuratorial work. Since then, she has watched the protection of cultural relics and cultural heritage being officially included in the scope of public interest litigation by the procuratorate, and has also seen the efforts made by the Nanjing procuratorate to protect cultural relics.
A typical example of this is the case of the 'Six Dynasties Brick Well' in Beiting Lane. "On May 23, 2019, the Nanjing Xuanwu District Procuratorate filed a case for investigation into the clues of the protection of cultural relics. On June 30, 2022, the repair of the "Liuchao Brick Well" was completed and the acceptance was qualified. "It was the procuratorial organ's ability to perform its duties in accordance with the law that allowed it to 'go home' smoothly in the end. Song Yan said.
Song Yan learned that in July 2022, the Xuanwu District Procuratorate took the lead in establishing the Public Welfare Protection Alliance for Cultural Relics and Cultural Heritage in the District, and the members of the alliance carried out cultural lectures, rule of law lectures, joint inspections and other public welfare actions from time to time, and Song Yan also actively participated in them.
At this year's World Book Day cultural lecture, she was a special guest to give a speech on improving the public welfare cooperation mechanism for cultural relics protection. Song Yan believes that to protect the "root" and "soul" of the city's history and culture, it is necessary to efficiently integrate the forces of criminal justice, administrative law enforcement, procuratorial public interest litigation, and the public, establish and improve the institutionalized and normalized working mechanism, solve the hot and difficult problems of cultural relics and cultural heritage protection, and strive to build a large-scale protection work pattern that works in the same direction and integrates hand in hand. At the same time, it is necessary to display the latest achievements in the protection of cultural relics and cultural heritage from multiple angles, popularize the knowledge of cultural relics protection, tell the story of cultural heritage, and continuously expand the volunteer team for cultural relics protection, so as to form a vivid situation in which the whole society participates in the protection and shares the results. "Public interest litigation cannot be carried out without the support of the public. Procuratorial organs should continue to expand publicity, mobilize the broad masses to pay attention to and supervise together, retain historical roots, and inherit Chinese civilization.
