There is a peculiar phenomenon in the retribution of the human world, that is, it always comes suddenly when people are most vulnerable. When you are young and strong, there will be no retribution.
On the contrary, when the old age is weak and particularly vulnerable, retribution will quietly appear. This can be understood as the fact that good retribution will not be the icing on the cake, but will only send charcoal in the snow, and the evil retribution will not hit the stone with an egg, but will only make it worse.
This is the so-called "good and evil will be rewarded in the end, only to fight for early and late". There was a man in the village who worked in a position of power and had a higher status than the average person.
At that time, he offended many people, and some people gathered around him to flatter him. However, after his retirement, his popularity quickly faded. Those whom he had offended began to trouble him, and those who had flattered him left him, pretending not to know him.
Therefore, after retirement, he seemed very lonely and confused. Some retribution does not come immediately, but only quietly after people are 60 years old.
Karma is a logical antecedent. If you don't offend others, then you won't face retribution. On the other hand, if you have offended others, then you have to face the cause and effect and eventually pay the price.
Li Longji, the Tang Ming Emperor during the Tang Dynasty, is an example. He worked hard in his early years, but in middle age he began to become mediocre, indulging in pleasures, pro-villain and far from virtuous.
In his later years, he was deceived by An Lushan, causing the turmoil of the "Anshi Rebellion". When the rebels reached Tongguan, he fled with his wife Yang Yuhuan and arrived in Sichuan and Shu.
On the way, the rebels mutinied and forced him to kill Yang Yuhuan. During the Sichuan Shu period, the crown prince Li Heng ascended the throne in Lingwu and replaced him as emperor. In the end, he died of depression and grief.
Whether you are a small person or a big person, there is nothing you can do in the face of karma.
Some people will think that Tang Xuanzong Li Longji was lonely in his later years because he was not strong enough, but this view is incorrect. There is also a Ming Taizu Zhu Yuanzhang who is known as the first emperor of the ages in history, and his later life is also very bleak.
Zhu Yuanzhang was born poor and once worked as a beggar and monk, but with his own efforts, he pacified the north and south, defeated the Yuan Dynasty, and unified the world. However, Zhu Yuanzhang is ruthless in dealing with heroes, and he will kill as long as he can.
Zhu Yuanzhang's wife, Empress Ma, and eldest grandson, Zhu Xiongying, both died when he was 54 years old, which made him even more painful. In the next ten years, Zhu Yuanzhang lost his most beloved eldest son, the crown prince Zhu Biao, as well as his second and third sons, which made him feel desperate.
A few years before his death, his second son and third son died one after another, and he sent black-haired people to white-haired people many times. In the end, he could only pass the throne to the imperial grandson Zhu Yunwen. When he was dying, Zhu Yunwen did not let his uncles return to Beijing, resulting in Zhu Yuanzhang having no son to send him to his death.
After Zhu Yuanzhang's death, the fourth son Zhu Di launched the Battle of Jingjing, and there were no generals in the court who could resist him. Why?Because Zhu Yuanzhang killed all the powerful generals. Four years later, Zhu Di seized the throne.
In the final stages of life, we may face various retributions. This is because the characteristic of retribution is to take advantage of people's illness and take people's lives. Whether it is an ordinary person, a big man, or a cow, in the face of cause and effect and retribution, there is no escape.
This is what Lao Tzu said, "The way of heaven is to make up for the deficiency when there is more loss." Heavenly Dao pursues balance, detracting from the excess and filling in the insufficient. In the face of a balanced Heavenly Dao, whether it is good or evil, there will be no absence.
Good retribution will make people suffer bitterly, and evil retribution will make people suffer the pain and suffering they deserve. Those who are not filial to their parents in their early years will not be filial to their children in their later years, which is the so-called "filial piety still gives birth to filial sons, and disobedience also gives birth to disobedient children".
People who have done many evil things in their early years may encounter all kinds of misfortunes and retribution in their later years, such as family decay, being bullied, children and grandchildren dying early, and not dying well, and all kinds of situations may occur.
In general, the blue sky cannot be bullied, and the prophet has not been moved, and good and evil will be rewarded in the end, only to fight for early and late.
The rise and fall of qi determines whether we can resolve misfortunes. When your qi is strong, misfortune will be dissolved, and karma will not appear immediately; When your qi number declines, misfortune cannot be resolved, and karma will suddenly appear.
No matter who you are, you may face the fate mentioned in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms" that "when the time comes, heaven and earth work together, and the heroes are not free". Therefore, when we are young, we should maintain a sense of reverence for the world and do more virtuous deeds to reduce the entanglement of cause and effect and delay the arrival of retribution as much as possible.
