Only the unity of image expression and national and aesthetic values can be the road to the healthy development of contemporary Chinese character painting creation, and can it produce a harmony with Chinese characteristics"Chinese style"The essence of the work.
Focusing on image performance is the purpose and artistic characteristic of the creation of Chinese realistic figure painting, so it is necessary to pay attention to image expression. However, painting also has the problem of national attribute and aesthetic function, national attribute is the surname and belonging of art, and aesthetics is the embodiment of the artistic quality of the work. The Chinese attributes and artistic quality of Chinese realistic figure painting can only be reflected by relying on the national character and aesthetic value of Chinese painting. By overemphasizing the aspect of image expression, or despising or relaxing the embodiment of nationality and the aesthetic value of painting, we lose not only the strengths and weaknesses, but also the nationality and aesthetics of the works. If this is the case for a long time, our Chinese realistic figure painting will become something that Westerners disdain and Chinese people cannot accept, which is contrary to the original intention and teachings of our ancestors. Education and aesthetic function are two indispensable aspects of figure painting, and emphasizing the independent aesthetic value of painting is a fine tradition of Chinese painting. Downplaying or weakening the embodiment of nationality and the aesthetic value of painting is contrary to the laws of art itself. Therefore, only the unity of image expression and national and aesthetic values is the road to the healthy development of Chinese realistic figure painting, which produces a harmonious Chinese character"Chinese style"The root of the work.
It should be noted that we are not narrow-minded nationalists, and it is a fine tradition of Chinese painting to learn Xi all the beneficial and excellent painting achievements of mankind, and we must continue to study Xi in the future. However, the purpose of learning from Xi is to nourish our own roots of painting and to better reflect and maintain the national nature of Chinese art. The creation of Chinese realistic figure painting should not only have the function of image expression and education, but also the national and aesthetic value of painting. The embodiment of nationality and the aesthetic value of painting is a comprehensive reflection of the creative concept and the state of the painting language, and in the final analysis, it is a matter of creative concept, and raising awareness is the key to enhancing the national character and aesthetic value of the image.
