China has a long history, and the history of ancient times is often endowed with mythological colors, such as Pangu opening the sky, Nuwa mending the sky, the Yellow Emperor fighting Chiyou, Houyi shooting the sun and other legends. In these myths, many artifacts have emerged, among which the Pangu axe is one of the top ten artifacts in ancient times, and it is listed with the Xuanyuan Sword and the Eastern Emperor Bell. The legend of the Pangu Axe has the power to open the world, but its size is so great that no one but Pangu can control it.
Legend has it that Pangu grew for 18,000 years, was 90,000 miles tall, and held a Pangu axe 66,000 zhang long, opening up the world. However, the massive axe was too cumbersome for almost no one to handle. According to the records of the "Three Five Calendars", the Pangu axe is 33,000 zhang wide, 3,300 zhang thick, 66,000 zhang long, and 132,000 meters long, and no one can wield it. Therefore, when Jiang Ziya was beheading the gods, although the Pangu axe had indestructible power, its huge size made it difficult for other mortals to use it, which became a big pity.
One said that the Pangu axe was transformed into three parts, and evolved into artifacts such as the Taiji Diagram, the Pangu Flag, and the Chaos Bell. In "The Romance of the Gods", part of the Pangu axe is transformed into the four swords of Zhuxian, making it the source of divine weapons. Although the Pangu Axe can only be controlled by Pangu, its power is still amazing, and it has become the exclusive magic weapon of Pangu in mythology. This also explains the reason why Jiang Ziya was unable to use the Pangu axe to break the formation in the Slashing Gods.
