In the wave of energy transition, how should the fluorine chemical industry respond to challenges and embrace opportunities? How to contribute more to the high-quality development of national industry?
From December 13th to 15th, the 2023 annual meeting and the third general meeting of the fluorine chemical branch of China Inorganic Salt Industry Association were held in Ningde, Fujian. Li Shijiang, chairman of the international fluorine material industry giant, Polyfluorine New Materials Co., Ltd., was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech on "Exploring the Infinite Possibilities of "Fluorine".
According to reports, the conference was guided by the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association, sponsored by the Fluorine Chemical Branch of the China Inorganic Salt Industry Association, and co-organized by Ningde Fupu New Alloy Technology Co., Ltd.
15 industry experts published special reports on the development and prospect of fluorine chemical industry, the unlimited application of fluorine elements, upstream and downstream market research, the current situation and prospect of fluorine resources, safety management and new technology research and development, etc., and deeply analyzed the new situation faced by the fluorine chemical industry in the wave of energy transition, and the industry development strategy under the new situation. Experts generally believe that the fluorine chemical industry should continue to strengthen scientific and technological innovation and industry-university-research cooperation to meet the needs of high-end fields, and actively promote green production technology, focusing on the harmonious coexistence of clean energy emerging industries and the environment.
In his keynote speech, Li Shijiang shared the practice and experience of accelerating the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries through scientific and technological innovation, and embarking on an innovative development path that does not develop traditional industries and vigorously explores high-end fields.
Through the combination of fluorine and lithium, polyfluorine has developed crystalline lithium hexafluorophosphate, breaking the foreign monopoly, knocking on the door of new energy, and forming its own unique and core competitiveness of the new energy industry system. Through the separation and combination of fluorine and silicon, we have developed ultra-pure electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid, electronic-grade silane, ethylsilane and other products, and entered the first-chain system of global high-end semiconductor companies such as TSMC, Samsung, SMIC, etc., to achieve world-class and made in China, and help the development of China's semiconductor industry.
China's fluorine industry has formed a high-tech industry with a complete range and a relatively complete industrial chain, but it is still facing transformation problems. We must speed up the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries, and strive to take the road of innovation that traditional industries do not develop traditionally, and vigorously explore high-end fields. Li Shijiang pointed out that in the face of the overcapacity of low-end products and the dependence of high-end products on imports, polyfluorine relies on technological innovation and has embarked on an innovative development path of technology patenting, patent standardization and standard internationalization, and up to now, more than 1,000 patents have been declared and more than 800 patents have been authorized.
In the context of the 'double revolution', Duofluoride will take the industry to serve the country as its own responsibility, determine the development direction of 'new materials to support new energy, new energy to drive new materials', use new technologies to transform and upgrade traditional industries, and make positive contributions to the new era of low carbon. Li Shijiang said.
After the third general meeting of the fluorine chemical branch of China Inorganic Salt Industry Association, Zhao Yongfeng, executive deputy general manager of Polyfluorine New Materials Co., Ltd., was elected as the new president.
