Just returned from a trip to Cambodia, the consumption is comparable to that of the United States, a

1: Visa. Cambodia supports landing visa and electronic visa, I did the electronic visa on the official website in advance, and the visa was very smooth in 2 days, and I did not encounter a tip.

2: There are beautiful temples everywhere in Cambodia, even in the countryside, there are also temples built on a large scale, some are simple, some are gorgeous. Every morning, monks go from house to house, begging along the roadside.

3: Pension medical care. The whole country plays down, and the old people in their seventies and eighties rarely see it, because the life expectancy is short, and the average life expectancy is only 55 years. And the local medical conditions are poor, the rich can go abroad for medical treatment, ordinary people can only be in the local area, and most people do not have pension medical insurance.

4: Cambodia At a glance, there are many high-end communities, with more than 30 floors, but there are very few people who turn on the lights at night. If you look at the night view, you can find that the vacancy rate of the real estate is very high, and it is only 1 percent of the households.

5: Mid-April is the Cambodian New Year, I thought there would be a full New Year's atmosphere, but in fact it is no different from usual, the shops are still gray, there are no ribbons on the trees, and there are no colorful decorations in the residents' homes.

6: Cambodian women pay great attention to sun protection, but their concept of sun protection is still relatively lacking. In 30-degree weather, sun protection is to wear two thick long-sleeved sweatshirts, which look hot, and I am sweating all over my short sleeves.

7: Wandering around the streets of Phnom Penh and large and small supermarkets, I have the following initial impression of the locals: the height is lower to average, the average height of young men (18-30 years old) is about 168cm, the skin tone is darker, between East Asians and Malay Indians, and there are still big differences in appearance compared with people in China and Guangzhou. Probably because of poverty, the vast majority of people are thinner and feel malnourished.

8: Cambodia is more like China 15-20 years ago, the whole city is relatively old, there are vendors selling all kinds of bells and whistles in the market, and all kinds of gold and silver jewelry, just like when I used to go to the market when I was a child.

9: Locals The poor are very poor, the rich are very rich, most of them are very poor, there are a lot of motorcycles, and the locals who are a little fatter are basically not seen, they are all black and thin. On the way, I saw a very magnificent temple, saying that it was a place used by rich people to store ashes, and I felt that there was really a big gap between the rich and the poor.

10: Currency. Cambodian riel and US dollars. Since the US dollar is not the local currency, they will not accept it if there is a gap or dirt in the money. Basically, you give US dollars, and they will give you Riel when they find money.

11: Cambodian cuisine is close to Thai cuisine, but it is not strong in sour and spicy, and the sweetness is stronger. Rice is the staple food. Phnom Penh's restaurants are rich in cuisine, and in addition to the taste of the Khmer people, there is also a wide variety of Asian and European dishes.

12: Transportation. The main use is tuk-tuk, and if you cross the city, you have to take a van or bus. In Siem Reap Bao a day, it takes 15 dollars to visit the small circle of Angkor Wat by tuk tuk car, and 40 dollars to visit the outer circle. You can also rent your own motorcycle, which is very convenient, and the small pedal is 8-10 dollars a day.

Consume. In my opinion, Cambodia is a relatively poor and backward country, and consumption is not very high, on the contrary, Cambodia is the most expensive country of all Southeast Asian countries I have visited. In the mall, ** clothes cost 100 US dollars (more than 700 yuan) for two pieces. I bought a tea egg at the convenience store next to the airport and asked for $3. When I paid the money, I thought that three yuan was normal, but when I came back to my senses, I found that it was a dollar, which was equivalent to more than 20 yuan a tea egg.

14: Takeout is also very expensive, the takeaway software here is called "e-gets", I **, I want to see if other things are also so expensive, no surprise, other things are also expensive. A bouquet of ordinary flowers costs 90 US dollars (more than 600 yuan) and a bowl of snail noodles 4$5, delivery fee 1$5;The cheapest birthday cake costs $50. Ordinary Shaxian snacks cost 60 to 70 yuan per person. I can't imagine how the locals lived.

15: Roadside stalls are still relatively cheap, a fried banana is less than $1, a coconut is $1, baguettes, sandwiches are about $1, and the cheapest is plantain. The plantain here is like a staple food, and it is sold from green, and you can buy at least one whole handful (about 15 pieces) at a time, and a handful is $1. In terms of fruits, tropical fruits such as jackfruit, snakeskin fruit, and lotus mist are recommended in the street vegetable market, which are very affordable.

16: Security issues. Before I went to Cambodia, I heard all kinds of rumors and felt very unsafe. When it comes to Cambodia, many people's first thought is to "cut their waists". In fact, I found out that it was not as terrible as the legend.

If you go to the street, you should take your bag and mobile phone, don't show your money, don't go shopping too late, don't be high-profile, and always raise your safety awareness. At present, most of the tourists are Europeans, Americans and Koreans, and according to my observation, most of them are now in groups, and the risk of traveling in a group of people is greatly reduced.

Siem Reap is arguably the safest city in Cambodia. As a tourist city, Siem Reap has the World Heritage Site of Angkor Wat, so there are many tourists, making it safer. Because as long as you don't run around the city, there's no problem. The locals are very warm and friendly, they will show you directions when asking for directions, and they will greet you on the way. Phnom Penh is a little worse than Siem Reap, but there is no vicious crime, the main thing is to be careful of bikers and try to stay away from motorized roads.

17: Attractions. I know that Cambodia is a country that originates from Angkor Wat. I know the city of Siem Reap because of Angkor Wat. Angkor Wat is one of the Eight Wonders of the World, a temple of Buddhism, and a great place for a cultural and spiritual journey.

Angkor Wat is the largest temple building in the world, and it is huge in scale and divided into:Small ring, large circle, outer ring, tickets are also divided into:$32 for the 1st, $62 for the 3rd, $72 for the 7th。We chose a 3-day ticket, and we visited the main temples in the outer circle of Xiaoda in three days. Here are a few of the temples:

Angkor Temple (Little Angkor):This temple is the largest and has some of the most iconic reliefs and Khmer architecture from the Angkor period. You need to ask a tour guide to explain the way, because Little Angkor is very large, and it is more organized to be led by someone.

Bayon:The famous "Khmer smile", each of the 54 stupas has a different smile.

Tabu Long Temple:Here you can see huge ancient trees growing tall and tall in the deep and majestic buildings. Moreover, the inner diameter of this temple is very deep, and walking in it will feel tight in your heart.

Nirvana Palace:Before going to the temple, you will pass through a long wooden boardwalk, and on both sides are ponds of medicinal herbs, and there are dead trees and lotus flowers in the pools.

The Queen's Palace:This temple is somewhat different in style from the previous ones, with a brick bias in color and a more elaborate relief style. The land near the temple is also red brick.

Angkor Wat is in Siem Reap, although Phnom Penh also has some Grand Palaces and the like, but if you want to visit key attractions, just go to Siem Reap. The stone architecture and carvings, combined with a strong sense of history, are very impressive. You can search the history before you go, and it will look more impressive.

Except for the long bus ride from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap (6-7 hours each way), the rest of the itinerary is an unhurried vacation mode. Siem Reap is a must-go, Phnom Penh is optional. In addition, Angkor Wat, the Grand Palace and other scenic spots have requirements for dress, men and women are not exposed, skirts and pants are under the knees, and buildings can not be touched casually.

This is just a small part of my observation of Cambodia, no good or bad. What do you think about such a Cambodia?
