On December 28, 2023, Yu Funian, President of the Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies in Central and Eastern Europe, and his delegation visited WFCMS. Li Yu, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of WFCMS, and Chen Lixin, Deputy Secretary-General, met with Chairman Yu Funian and welcomed the team.

Secretary-General Li Yu first introduced the situation and future development direction of WFCMS, and congratulated Chairman Fu Nian on his continued appointment as vice chairman of the fifth board of supervisors of WFCMS. He said that WFCMS has been paying attention to the development of the Federation of Chinese Medicine Societies in Central and Eastern Europe. It is hoped that the Federation of Central and Eastern European Chinese Medicine Societies can carry out more and more in-depth exchanges and cooperation with WFCMS in the future, and jointly promote the extensive development of Chinese medicine in Central and Eastern Europe.

Chairman Yu Funian introduced the development of traditional Chinese medicine in Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe. Traditional Chinese medicine has accumulated a good public base in Hungary, and the development prospects are very broad.

The two sides also discussed topics such as the integration of traditional Chinese medicine resources, education and talent training, cooperation with scientific research institutions, and local medicinal herb cultivation in Hungary and Central and Eastern Europe. Also visiting were Liu Wenqing, Honorary Advisor of the Federation of Central and Eastern European Chinese Medicine Societies, and Yu Bo, Deputy Secretary-General.
