Founded in 1994 by Hong Kong patriotic financiers Ho Sin Hang, Leung Kau Ju, Ho Tim and Lee Kwok Wai, Ho Leung Ho Lee aims to reward outstanding Chinese scientists and serve the country's modernization. Qi Fayun, male, born on April 26, 1933 in Fuxian County, Liaoning Province (now Wafangdian City, Dalian City, Liaoning Province), is a technical advisor of the China Academy of Space Technology and an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
He is a well-known space technology expert in China, the first chief designer of the Shenzhou spacecraft, and has made systematic and creative contributions to the strategic development of manned spacecraft, satellites, aerospace components, and space undertakings. He put forward the development route of manned spacecraft in line with China's national conditions, led the team to overcome the key technologies of manned spacecraft, and successfully completed the unmanned flight missions from "Shenzhou 1" to "Shenzhou 4", "Shenzhou 5" one person for one day, and "Shenzhou 6" multi-person and multi-day manned flight missions, laying a solid foundation for the success of China's space laboratory and space station missions. He was responsible for the overall technical work of the launch stage of the "Dongfanghong No. 1" satellite, presided over the overcoming of many technical problems of "Dongfanghong No. 2" and "Dongfanghong No. 3", and made important contributions to China's communication satellites from scratch and from weak to strong.
