According to China University of Political Science and Law**, Jiang Ping, born in December 1930, a native of Ningbo, Zhejiang, is a famous Chinese jurist, a tenured professor of China University of Political Science and Law, and a doctoral supervisor of civil and commercial law.

In 1956, he joined the Beijing University of Political Science and Law (the predecessor of China University of Political Science and Law) as a teacher.

From 1983 to 1990, he successively served as Vice President and President of China University of Political Science and Law, member of the Standing Committee of the Seventh National People's Congress, and Vice Chairman of the National People's Law Committee.

From 1988 to 1992, he served as Vice President of the China Law Society.
