The exhibition is sponsored by the Chongqing Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the People's of Jiangjin District, Chongqing, and the Chongqing Calligraphers Association, and undertaken by the Propaganda Department of the Jiangjin District Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Jiangjin District Culture and Tourism Committee, and the Jiangjin District Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
Jiangjin District is the hometown of Liansheng Zhong Yunfang, China's Yinglian cultural city, there are "the world's first long couplet", "Jiangjin County Linjiang City Building", "the world's first strange couplet", "Simianshan Chaoyuan Guanlian", and Ming Xianzong for the Ming Dynasty Ministry of Industry Shangshu, Jiangjin people Jiang Yuanqin inscription "the world's first emperor" and other cultural business cards, in the country is very scarce and recognizable.
Zhong Yunfang, a master of the late Qing Dynasty couplet, with his legendary life experience and more than 1,800 pairs of popular couplet works, has established an indisputable position in the couplet industry, especially the "world's first long couplet" crowned ancient and modern, and was respected as the "joint saint" by the couplet circle, becoming an eye-catching historical and cultural celebrity in the history of the development of Chinese civilization.
The organizers fully excavate the rich cultural resources of the couplets in Jiangjin District, promote the integrated development of the couplet culture and calligraphy art, and are committed to building the "Liansheng Zhongyunfang" into the most recognizable excellent traditional cultural brand in Chongqing.
The exhibition advocates "both art and culture", stipulating that "the works that have won the grand prize and the first prize must be self-written, with good writing and closely related to the theme", and encourage the authors to write their own couplet works that comply with the rules of the joint law. From the perspective of the results of receipt and selection, a total of 2,237 manuscripts were received, and among the 2,044 qualified works, 264 were self-authored, accounting for 129%。
The jury conducted a careful review based on the principles of seriousness, strictness, rigor, fairness, justice and openness, and introduced the judges of the couplet, paying great attention to the quality of the self-written couplet. In the end, 199 works (including 37 award-winning works) were selected for the exhibition, of which 42 were self-written, accounting for 211%, the level of literary accomplishment of the calligrapher is fully considered.
From the perspective of calligraphy art, although the exhibition limits the form of couplets, it has both seals, subordinates, Kai, lines and grasses, and has a variety of styles, which fully demonstrates the author's creative strength and artistic style, and is a high-quality professional calligraphy exhibition held in our city in recent years.
