The naming of the heavy snow solar term is the latest among the 24 solar terms. In the "Shangshu Yaodian", written before the Warring States period, only four solar terms are mentioned, namely the spring equinox, summer solstice, autumn equinox and winter solstice. In the later book "Pipes: Light and Heavy", the beginning of spring, the beginning of summer, the beginning of autumn and the beginning of winter were added, and there were eight solar terms. Written in Daqin's "Lü's Spring and Autumn Period: The Twelve Chronicles", the description and regulations of the solar terms are more detailed, with 22 solar terms, but there is no small full and heavy snow. In the Western Han Dynasty, Huainan King Liu An's "Huainanzi Tianwen Xun" was supplemented with Xiaoman and Daxue, and the 24 festivals were completed, and the name set has been used to this day.
