At 9:30 on December 27, in the sound of the whistle, the 44903 container train loaded with 14 containers of Yunnan potatoes slowly drove out of Mengzi North Station in Mengzi City, Honghe Hani and Yi Autonomous Prefecture, marking the first launch of the special train of China-Vietnam Railway. Two days later, the potatoes will arrive in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
It is understood that the "one box in the end re-out and re-in" special train refers to the whole process without changing the box, one station direct, export vegetables, imported fruits of the railway transport train. After the goods are sent, the quasi-meter gauge reloading will be completed at the Hekou North Station of the Sino-Vietnamese port, and then transported to Shenlang Station in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam by the 100-year-old cross-border railway, and the whole process will be one box to the end, so as to ensure that the goods enter the Vietnamese market with the fastest speed and the best quality.
The China-Vietnam Railway Port is the only meter-gauge railway transportation channel between China and Vietnam, the main transportation artery with the longest history of cross-border transportation between China and Vietnam, and the transportation route with the lowest cost, fastest speed and highest efficiency in cross-border transportation between Yunnan and Vietnam.
Up to now, a total of 11,400 China-Vietnam meter-gauge international intermodal trains have been operated between China's mountainside port and Vietnam's Lao Cai port, and 367 cargo transportation has been completedThe 200,000-ton, stable meter-gauge international logistics channel effectively guarantees regional food security and provides a strong impetus for the production of industrial and agricultural products between the two countries.
