The CA-IS3721HS dual-channel standard digital isolator is a high-performance 1 2-channel digital isolator with accurate timing characteristics and low power loss. The CA-IS371X 2X device provides high electromagnetic immunity and low emissions when isolating CMOS digital IO. All device versions feature a Schmitt trigger input for high noise immunity. The logic input and output buffers for each isolated channel are isolated by a silica (SiO2) insulating gate.
The CA-IS3721HS has one forward and one reverse channel, and the CA-IS3721HS has a fail-safe mode option. If the input power or signal is lost, the default output is low for devices with the suffix l and high for devices with the suffix h. The high insulation capability of the CA-IS371X 2X devices helps prevent noise and surges on the data bus or other circuits from entering the local ground terminal that could interfere with or damage sensitive circuitry. High CMTI capability is expected to guarantee the correct transmission of digital signals. The CA-IS3721HS devices are available in 8-pin SOIC and 16-pin wide-body SOIC packages. All products have 3Isolation rating of 75kvrms, wide-body packages support insulation withstand voltages up to 5kvrms.
