Following yesterday's release of iOS 17After the official version of 2, today, Apple released iOS 17 again3 beta, version number 21D5026F, mainly brings stronger privacy features.

Major updates

1. Added stolen device protection function

In iPhone Settings - Face ID & Passcode, a new Stolen Device Protection switch option is available to verify Face ID or Touch ID to perform certain actions, including viewing passwords or passkeys stored in iCloud Keychain, requesting a new Apple Card, turning off Lost Mode, erasing all content and settings, using payment methods stored in Safari, and more.

For particularly sensitive actions, such as changing the password for an Apple ID account associated with your iPhone, you will need to wait one hour before the second verification after the first verification fails. But when your iPhone is in a familiar location, like at home or work, you don't have to wait.
