In 2015, Wu Zhirong responded to the policy of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council to support Taiwanese young people to start their own businesses in the mainland, and came to Wuhan to found Lihan Education Group, which currently has more than 200 employees and has established cooperative relations with more than 3,000 primary and secondary schools in 62 cities in the mainland.

Wu Zhirong was formerly a public official in charge of popular science education at the Taipei City Education Bureau. In 2007, Wu Zhirong, who had a dream of popularizing science, resigned from his job and started a career in science education. Under the leadership of Wu Zhirong, Lihan Education Group has become the largest science education enterprise in Taiwan in just 5 years, with a market share of 90%. From 2011 to 2015, adhering to the spirit of science education to promote the development of general education, Lihan Education Group has successively set up teaching bases in more than 20 cities such as Chengdu, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, Wuhan, etc., and sent lecturers into primary and secondary school science classrooms, or provided training services for primary and secondary school science teachers. In 2016, the headquarters of Lihan Education Group officially settled in Wuhan.

Regarding the establishment of the headquarters in Han, Wu Zhirong, chairman of Lihan Education Group, said that the geographical location of Wuhan is conducive to the national promotion of Lihan, and more importantly, Wuhan attaches great importance to the entrepreneurship of Taiwanese youth and has a very good entrepreneurial environment. It is reported that when the group first came to Wuhan, the group settled in the first batch of national cross-strait youth entrepreneurship bases in Dongxihu District, and with the coordination and help of various departments and the Taiwan Association, it enjoyed "nanny-style" services such as substitution, rent reduction, docking business and assistance in solving financing difficulties.

In 2021, Lihan Education Group invested in the establishment of Lihan Educational Science Research Institute and Artificial Intelligence Research Institute in Han. At present, the two institutions have introduced outstanding talents from Tsinghua University, Wuhan University, National Taiwan University and Yuan Ze University, and will cooperate with local education bureaus to carry out teacher training at multiple levels, in an all-round and systematic manner, so as to make more contributions to the development of education.

Thanks to the mainland's emphasis on youth science education in recent years, the Lihan team, which takes the route of science popularization in schools, has ushered in many development opportunities. During this period, Lihan has led 157 Taiwanese youths to join the team. At the same time, it actively participates in public welfare education and provides free science open courses for schools in remote areas.

In his spare time, Wu Zhirong, vice president and deputy secretary general of the Wuhan Taiwan-funded Enterprise Association and chairman of the Youth Committee, is also committed to matching Taiwanese young people to start businesses and find employment in Wuhan. In recent years, under his leadership, the Youth Committee of Wuhan Association of Taiwan-funded Enterprises has helped more than 170 Taiwanese youth enterprises to land smoothly through 9 Wuhan municipal-level Taiwanese youth entrepreneurship bases, and assisted nearly 80 Taiwanese youth entrepreneurs to apply for special funds for Taiwanese youth in Hubei ProvinceParticipate in and carry out activities such as "Thousands of Posts to Welcome Taiwan Youth", "Jinyinhu Cup Cross-Strait Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition", "Wuhan Taiwan Youth Talk", "Wuhan Taiwan Youth Carnival" and other activities to attract and help Taiwan young people to come to Han for internship, employment, entrepreneurship, and share development opportunities. In his view, it is quite meaningful to be able to become a "guide" for Taiwan youths to come to the mainland for development.
