After taking the Dream of Red Mansions exam in October 2020, I continued to take the remaining 8 courses until I finished all the subjects in April 2023. My strategy is to take 1-2 subjects at a time, and I think this intensity is acceptable for me. I find it difficult to apply for three courses at once, especially for some degree courses, which require an average score of 70 points (the requirement for a degree certificate), and if the three courses are taken together, it is really overburdened for me. However, if you are taking non-degree courses and elective courses at the time, I think you can still consider taking three courses at once.
Next, I will talk about my exam planning for 8 courses. In April 2021, I applied for History of Ancient Chinese Literature (I) and Introduction to Linguistics. In October 2021, I applied for History of Ancient Chinese Literature II and History of Modern Chinese Literature. In July 2022, I applied for Lu Xun Studies. In October 2022, I applied for "Aesthetics" and "Introduction to Chinese Culture". In April 2023, I applied for the History of Foreign Literature. As I mentioned in my previous article, the April 2022 exam was cancelled due to the pandemic. So, I delayed my graduation by half a year. I also don't remember what my preference was for the subjects I chose for the exam. Probably the first point is that the exam is on the same day, no need to take a holiday, no need to run in the urban area for two consecutive days (the last three courses will be in October 2022, and there is no way to coordinate the exam on the same day). The second point is that it is difficult first and then easy, and I chose a four-degree course for the first two exams. Now that I think about it, the main reason is still the first one, it's just a coincidence.
The score is already very satisfying, once over.
