At the meeting, Wang Binwei fully affirmed the achievements made in the reform and development of the School of Marxism in recent years. He pointed out that the party building work of the School of Marxism is distinctive, the construction of the college is effective, and the future development is targeted. At the same time, he proposed that as the "first college", the Marxist college should have the consciousness of slow progress and retreat, further strengthen macro thinking and top-level design, and strengthen the connotation construction of the college around the school's "eight first-class systems".
Wang Binwei emphasized that the school attaches great importance to the construction and development of the School of Marxism, and next, it will solidly promote the construction of the School of Marxism from three aspects. At the theme party day activity of the "Xuanma" Teaching and Labor Party Branch, Professor Chen Jinlong, secretary of the Party branch, led the study with the title of "The Overall Grasp of Cultural Thought and Its Original Contribution". He elaborated in depth from five aspects: the overall grasp of cultural thought, the premise of cultural self-confidence, the construction of modern civilization of the Chinese nation as the goal of cultural development, the "two combinations" as the method of cultural construction, and the global civilization initiative to promote the development of human civilization.
Professor Guan Feng, Dean of the School of Marxism, conveyed the spirit of the symposium on the publication of the textbook "Introduction to Socialism with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era", and encouraged the teachers of the college to take the publication and use of the textbook "Introduction" as an opportunity to effectively improve the quality and effect of teaching, and better cultivate new people who are responsible for national rejuvenation.

Wang Binwei put forward three work suggestions. The first is to further strengthen the theoretical armament, and be the vanguard and propagandist of the study Xi propaganda and implementation of Marxist theory and the socialist ideology with Chinese characteristics in the new era. Continuously strengthen theoretical research and publicity and interpretation, and produce high-quality theoretical results. The "Xuanma" Teaching and Labor Party Branch of the School of Marxism was established in March 2017, with 22 party members, and the branch members are composed of teachers and party members from the Teaching and Research Department of the Outline of Modern Chinese History, the Teaching and Research Department of Introduction to the Theoretical System of Thought and Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, and the Teaching and Research Department of Introduction to Socialist Thought with Chinese Characteristics in the New Era. With the goal of building a first-class theoretical research and preaching team in Guangdong and an important influence in South China, the "Xuanma" Teaching and Labor Party Branch has established a "theoretical pioneer team" led by Professor Chen Jinlong and attended by party members and teachers of the branch, forming a multi-dimensional theoretical propaganda and propaganda matrix to achieve the effect of "voice into the hearts of the people". In March 2022, the branch was selected as the third batch of "National University Party Building Benchmarking Branch" cultivation and creation units.
