Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were not mentioned in King Charles' Christmas address after they retired from the working royal family three years ago.
King Charles III delivered his second-ever Christmas address to the nation, but while highlighting the excellent work of his eldest son, Prince William, and his wife, the Princess of Wales, he did not mention his youngest son, Prince Harry, and his wife, Meghan Markle.
BBC One aired the speech to showcase the splendor of Buckingham Palace, with a brass band playing the national anthem on the balcony. The King's speech was then covered with a beautiful montage of **and** showing his recap on his coronation this May, also speaking of some of the charity work done by Prince William, Princess of Wales and their children in 2023. Tensions rose in January when Harry lashed out at his family in his debut memoir, "Spare." Then in November, another book by Omid Scobie, Endgame, caused widespread controversy and reignited a royal feud.
Harry and Meghan were also excluded from Charles' speech last year, his first speech since the death of his beloved mother, Elizabeth II. And addressing the nation this Christmas, Charles spoke about the importance of service and protection"The natural world"importance, but there is no mention of his absent youngest son.
He said"In my lifetime, I am very pleased to see that there is a growing awareness that we must protect the planet and our natural world because it is our common home.
King Charles did not show any family when he spoke at Buckingham Palace. Harry and Meghan are believed to spend Christmas at their home in Montecito, while members of the royal family gather at Sandringham in accordance with family tradition.
Harry and Meghan haven't attended Christmas at Sandringham since 2018, having previously attended together as a couple when they were engaged. Since then, they have been spending Christmas in the United States, where they now live with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Libet.
