There is a classic scene in "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", "Guan Yunchang scrapes bones to cure poison", Hua Tuo scrapes Guan Yu's bones, and Guan Yu talks and laughs freely while playing chess. If you look through the history books, you will find that this incident is really not a fiction of Luo Guanzhong. And not only Guan Yu had surgery, but Cao Wei's famous minister Jia Kui also had his gall removed.
Yu tasted the arrow, through his left arm, although the wound healed, every time it rained, the bone often hurt, the doctor said:"The arrow is poisonous, poisoned into the bones, when the arm is broken for wounds, scrape the bones to remove the poison, and then this affliction is to remove the ear. "Yu stretched out his arm and ordered the doctor to split it. Shi Yu invited the generals to eat and drink oppositely, and the blood in his arms flowed away from the plate, and Yu cut the wine, laughing freely. - Romance of the Three Kingdoms: The Biography of Guan YuAccording to the record of "Three Kingdoms: The Biography of Guan Yu", Guan Yu was shot by a stray arrow, and the arrow penetrated his left arm.
The doctor said: "The arrow is poisonous, and its poison has penetrated into the bone, and it is necessary to make an incision on the arm to scrape off the toxin from the arm bone to completely get rid of the disease." Guan Yu immediately stretched out his arm and asked the doctor to treat him. At that time, Guan Yu was inviting the generals to drink and eat, and the knife on his arm was dripping with blood, flowing all over the plate below, but Guan Yu was cutting meat and drinking wine, talking and laughing with everyone.
In "Romance of the Three Kingdoms", it is said that it was the divine doctor Hua Tuo who treated Guan Yu, but this record does not say who the doctor is, but only the doctor. And there is no record in "Three Kingdoms: The Biography of Hua Tuo" that Hua Tuo treated Guan Yu. As for the romance saying that Hua Tuo wanted to cut Cao Cao's head and was killed by Cao Cao, it was apocryphal.
Kui Qian was in Hongnong, and the captain of the agricultural school argued for business, but he was angry, and he became ill a little bigger, and he wanted to make the doctor cut it. Taizu cherishes Kui Zhong, fearing that he will not live, and teaches"Thank you, I heard'Ten people were mutilated and nine died'"。Kui still does what he wants, and the more he suffers. - Romance of the Three Kingdoms: The Biography of Jia KuiIn addition to scraping bones to cure poison, Cao Wei's famous minister Jia Kui also underwent surgery. According to the records of "Dian Luo", when Jia Kui was in Hongnong, he had a dispute with the captain of Diannong because of official business and was not treated reasonably, so he was angry and had a gall on his body, and later the gall grew up, and Jia Kui asked to cut it off.
Cao Cao cherished Jia Kui's loyalty, and feared that he would die because of it, so he sent someone to tell him that "I heard that "ten people cut off the gall and nine died". Jia Kui insisted on cutting it, but although Jia Kui did not die, the gall grew bigger and bigger after the cut. Gall is what the folk call "big neck disease", and the scientific name is goiter. Judging from Cao Cao's words, it is not uncommon to cut galls in the Three Kingdoms at the end of the Han Dynasty.
Surgery is common in today's society, but can you imagine that during the Three Kingdoms period, which was close to two thousand years ago, there were also surgical procedures. In fact, if you read "Three Kingdoms: The Biography of Fang Ji", you will find that surgery is just a way to treat diseases for Hua Tuo, and it is not unusual.
If the disease accumulates and cannot be reached by acupuncture and medicine, when the person who needs to be circumcised, he will drink his hemp and boil it, and he will die of drunkenness without knowing it, because it is broken. If the disease is in the intestines, the intestines will be broken and washed, and the abdomen will be sewn and rubbed, and the difference between four or five days will not be painful, and the person will not be self-conscious, and it will be calmed down in one month. - Romance of the Three Kingdoms: The Biography of Fang TechniqueAccording to historical records, Hua Tuo's medical skills are excellent, and he knows everything about decoction and acupuncture. Hua Tuo also invented Ma Boiling San, if the patient's disease root is in the body, acupuncture, decoction can not be **, Hua Tuo let the patient drink Ma Boiling San, and in a moment he passed out like drunk, knew nothing, and then began the operation.
If the crux is in the intestines, Hua Tuo will open the patient's abdominal cavity, cut off the ulcer, wash the decay, and then suture it with mulberry thread, apply a plaster massage, and remove the pain for four or five days. It is precisely because of this record that Hua Tuo was called the "Holy Hand of Surgery" and "the originator of surgery" by later generations.
Although the record is there in black and white, I always feel a little hard to believe after reading it, and I can only sigh that the Chinese civilization is really broad and profound, and my generation should be self-reliant!
