Translation and tidying: Make excuses to be quiet.

I wasn't very suitable for being a company employee, so I wanted to become a professional chess player- Under the influence of her grandfather, Ueno started learning chess at the age of 4, and then went to the Go class to learn chess at the age of 5.

Ueno Aisaki: At first, I didn't mean to learn chess on my own, and I didn't have any feelings.

Risa Ueno: My mom brought my sister to the Go class, and then I naturally got into the game of Go.

Misaki Ueno: But every time I take you there, you sometimes cry.

Risa Ueno: At that time, I probably didn't like Go, but I started to like Go after I became a professional chess player.

- I didn't like it, but you persevered.

Risa Ueno: If there are happy things, there are also happy things, and when I was a student at the Japan Chess Academy, I had many regretful experiences. But as my strength became stronger, I became interested in Go. Later, after the AI appeared, I knew that I should play chess like this at this time, and I began to understand the profundity of Go. Although I like to learn Xi in school, I'm not a good person to be a company employee, so it's better to be a professional chess player.

Misaki Ueno: But I don't think you're suitable to be a company employee.

Risa Ueno: But I'm also stupid, and I feel like something is going to go wrong.

Misaki Ueno: But it's better than me.

Risa Ueno: That's (laughs).

For the pre-race routine, Risa Ueno chose to jog, and Misaki Ueno chose aromatherapy and tea

- The location of this interview came to Tianfeng Dojo, which is the place where the two used to practice chess, do you have any memories here?

Misaki Ueno: It's still very safe to be here. If you come to the dojo every day, you will know which teacher is coming by listening to the footsteps.

Risa Ueno: The footsteps of my master (Fujisawa Ichijo 8dan) are the clearest.

Misaki Ueno: Occasionally, there would be the footsteps of a teacher I didn't know, and at that time, everyone was guessing which teacher was going to come. Then everyone agreed that the food here was delicious. It's really nutritious. Crab miso soup, fried rice, or beef rice with dark sauce. Back then, he also competed with Kan Kotaro for how many bowls of miso soup he could drink.

INTERVIEWER How long do you learn Go every day?

Risa Ueno: When I was a junior high school student, I studied chess at the dojo from 4 to 8 p.m. after school, but I didn't learn it at home.

Misaki Ueno: There are stickers everywhere in the dojo that say, "If you want to become a professional chess player, you should learn chess for at least 6 hours a day, and it usually takes 10 hours." When I was in elementary school, I felt like I hadn't done anything, so I thought, "6 hours is amazing", and I didn't think it was a serious thing. But now I think I should have learned so much at that time.

- Pre-competition routine, Ueno Aisaki Mei jumped the rope 777 times is already very famous, does Risa Ueno have her own pre-competition routine?

Risa Ueno: Jogging, running around for about 10 minutes. Recently, I measured it, and the 1000m looks like about 4 minutes and 39 seconds.

Ueno Aisaki: In addition to skipping rope, I also drink aromatherapy and tea. There is also the use of tools to press acupuncture points.

- Isn't the chess style of the two also different?

Risa Ueno: We both like to fight, and if my opponent attacks, I will choose to fight, and if my sister says, she will start a fight on her own.

Misaki Ueno: I've always wanted to fight, and if the time comes, I'll do it.

"She even went down the lost layout".

- How do you feel about Risa Ueno, who became a challenger for the Female Ryu Moto Inbo Battle in November of this year, and is only one step away from the title?

Risa Ueno: The first three games of the five-game game were played in other places, and each time the place where I stayed was very luxurious, and the food was very delicious. Although the game was really tense in a different place than usual, I didn't feel any pressure and still had a lot of fun. I won in the first and third games, and to be honest, I didn't expect it. The place that needs to be reflected on is that when you are black, it is smooth, but when you are white, it doesn't seem to be very good. Although the result is still satisfactory compared to before the game, I have not thought very well about the tactics, and I need to continue to work hard after the white in the future.

- Ueno Aisaki, what do you want to say after watching her sister's performance?

Ueno Aisaki: I feel like I'm doing my best, and I didn't say anything, but the start time of the women's battle is 9 o'clock in the morning, so it will be a little earlier. Since we were in the same room, my sister might wake her up if I got home too late and made a little move, so I went home early in the evening before the 4th and 5th games (laughs).

Risa Ueno: That's what I brought up, "It's going to be a game of chess at 9 a.m., so you can come back early for me."

Misaki Ueno: After my sister got white in the fifth game, I didn't expect her to play the layout of the lost game.

Risa Ueno: What's this, I'm not going to be able to do this layout because of this, so I won't do it again in the future. For me, the area that needs to be reflected on is not the layout, but the length of time I have been learning chess, and my sister and I have a different opinion in this regard.

About direct duels

- On December 14th, the two will face each other directly in the women's chess holy war challenger decision-making match, can you tell us how you feel at the moment?

Risa Ueno: I don't feel anything, but my sister should be the strongest when the NHK cup is used, and I'm looking forward to it.

Ueno Aisaki: To be honest, I don't like sister duels, but with so many people paying attention, I thought I'd forget it. My sister won against Rina Fujisawa, and she has a lot of momentum, so I believe it will be a very interesting game.

- The sisters don't seem to be very good at playing chess together.

Misaki Ueno: If we don't play chess, we won't study together.

Risa Ueno: But I don't care.

Ueno Aisaki: My sister has always been like this, and if I win, I don't get anything, and if I lose, I don't feel good, so playing chess is not good at all (laughs). So I don't want to play chess with my sister at other times except for official competitions.

– This is the second time the two have played each other in an official match, the last time was Misaki Ueno won, what was the atmosphere at home after the match?

Ueno Aisaki: It seems like nothing, it seems to be the same as usual.

Risa Ueno: yes, but I don't really want to talk. On a regular basis, I often eat with my opponents in the next round. I care more about myself than my opponent, and my opponent doesn't matter to me.

INTERVIEWER Do you feel the pressure that you can't lose to your sister because you're an older sister? You've said before that you "definitely don't want to lose to your sister."

Ueno Aisaki: But my sister won the final with Rina Fujisawa, so for me, if I lose this time, I will lose.

- Do you know each other well?

Misaki Ueno: I guess I understand.

Risa Ueno: But there may be something I don't know, and I still need to explore this aspect.

Misaki Ueno: Well, when you play chess face-to-face, you don't think of that. I just think, "This person's face is a bit like himself" (laughs).

Risa Ueno: For me, it's just that I don't have to be distracted, but this time in the game room where the women's chess holy war was held, I saw the "no heart" signed by Shibano Toramaru. This time I just looked at the word and faced the game without distraction.
