Good morning!It is a great pleasure to participate in the Automotive Chip Summit Forum held in Wuxi. I am a layman for chips, but for China's new energy vehicle chips, I should be one of the first few appealers.
Because there are many chip companies today, I am particularly happy to participate in this meeting, I still want to talk about China's new energy vehicles and the future of intelligent networked new energy vehicles development of some personal thinking, please criticize and correct the wrong.
Divided into three aspects, I still want to review the development of China's new energy vehicles. It should be said that the competition between China and the West in the field of automobiles is fierce, and under the correct leadership of the party and the state, we are in a first-mover or temporary leading position, ** repeatedly praised China's new energy vehicle industry, and the happiest is that Mr. Biden also praised the development of China's new energy vehicles.
The development of China's new energy vehicles is currently in the lead, with five major symbols, and the scale of vehicles, batteries, motor drive systems, and Internet of Vehicles ranks first in the world.
First, the scale of charging facilities is the largest in the world, and finally the overall technical level is internationally advanced.
Looking back on the past development, under the correct leadership of the party and the state, China's new energy vehicles have done pioneering work for more than 20 years.
First, we define the three major technical systems of China's new energy vehicles, vehicles, charging and swapping stations, and Internet of Vehicles.
Second, we have five consecutive five-year plans to implement the "three vertical and three horizontal strategies" of new energy vehicles and common technologies, and a blueprint has been done for 25 years.
Third, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, we have deployed four demonstration projects, the first is the Olympic demonstration project, we took the lead in achieving zero emissions in the central area in the history of the international Olympic Games, and we are in the World Expo, Guangzhou Asian Games and APEC Summit after the Olympic Games, we once again as a national demonstration project to demonstrate the operation of new energy vehicles.
Since then, since 2010, the country has been implementing a new policy almost every two years, intensively implementing the promotion and application and going to the world, building an ecology and leading the promotion and application of innovative new energy vehicles.
It should be said that after more than 20 years of review, everyone also knows that since the "14th Five-Year Plan" in 2021, our country is called the second half, and we should say that we have defined a system in terms of technology, as well as intelligent networking, new energy vehicles, energy and transportation integration, and a technical system of automobile power or transportation power.
At the same time, we still adhere to the grand strategy of three verticals and three horizontals, including pure electric, plug-in hybrid, hydrogen electric and motor battery electronic control. At the same time, I rethink the definition, in the future we will further improve energy efficiency, in the small four electric we must continue to make efforts, especially electric air conditioning, electric braking, electric steering, electric suspension, etc., of course, intelligent networking in this aspect we have also deployed a series of technical systems such as sensor network decision-making, that is, computing power, manipulation, system security, etc., constituting a complete technical roadmap for future national development.
Now, I will illustrate a few key technologies, I think the first future is the overall architecture of the system, I think the development of our country's automobile has several characteristics, one is the power supply, as well as the chassis wire control, drive hub, cockpit personalization, vehicle control centralization, vehicle network high-speed, this is a feature of the overall architecture of the system.
What is the intelligent hybrid power supply?That is to say, in the future, whether it is internal combustion engine power or fuel cell power, it will only output electricity, which means that the traditional internal combustion engine machine drive working mode will disappear. Chassis-by-wire, wire-control should be said that the core components on the chassis are mainly drive-by-wire, brake-by-wire suspension and steering-by-wire, of course, there is also a power on the chassis.
In the future, from the perspective of electric drive system, in-wheel electric drive will be a major development trend, which will integrate drive, deceleration, steering, braking or load-bearing, solve the problem of integration and integration of confined space, and become a mainstream technology for future automobile development.
I will focus on the aerospace-level environment and efficient energy-saving management of the whole vehicle, we still have a very large potential to tap in terms of energy saving and consumption reduction, which is also the future of the vehicle thermal management and heating integrated air conditioning and thermal insulation to do a lot of work.
I think the basic characteristics of the next generation of battery technology and products are long range, fast energy replenishment, that is, ultra-fast charging, efficient operation, and an ultra-safe battery, in addition to long life and low cost.
Basic characteristics of future batteries and systems:
First, batteries should be developing in the direction of all-climate, which is the so-called all-climate battery.
Second, the all-solid-state battery, the real all-solid-state, does not have any liquid in it, and its electrolyte is all solid-state.
Third, switch the battery, because it is difficult to take into account low temperature or high temperature at the same time, if we use thermal management, charge or discharge at a temperature point, so that he can turn on when he is in use and turn off when he is not in use, which can further ensure safety.
Next is the chip, I still want to briefly talk about my understanding of the chip. In 2018, I made a report at the academician conference, which talked about some problems in several aspects of our country, and I focused on automotive-grade chips, power chips, and vehicle control operating systems.
We are now taking the chip as an example, in the future to engage in intelligent networking, so the traditional fuel vehicle is a man-machine ring system, its speed due to its delay in hundreds of milliseconds, so it should be below 50 kilometers, which we can basically solve. New energy vehicles are a system of man-mechanical ring, so its delay constant should reach tens of milliseconds, and our speed can be within 100 kilometers.
In the future, the real full autonomous driving should be an opto-electromechanical ring system, that is, autonomous driving in the full sense, the speed of the vehicle will be greater than 100 kilometers, and the quantum computing and communication that are now being developed will give strong support, so the key to the future is sensing, decision-making and computing power, transmission and execution speed.
Automotive-grade chips are the cornerstone of the future of intelligent networked new energy vehicles, and we are probably more than one kilogram, and yesterday the CEO of NIO also said that they used more than 3,000 chips in their cars, so I think this number is still very large.
I don't know much about the chip itself, because I have been thinking about it for so many years, and I also talked to many chip experts and automotive experts, and the chip experts were reluctant to do it at that time, saying that you have high requirements, small batches, and low efficiency, so you are not willing to make domestic automotive chips. On the other hand, automobile companies dare not use it, the technology is not mature, and if the product is not good, there will be serious consequences. In addition, it is not easy to use, and in the end it is impossible to use. Therefore, it is the result of difficult communication and lack of coordination between the two sides.
At the same time, we have been calling for the collaboration of the whole chain of chip technology development, common technology, achievement transformation, and industrial application, as well as from the research and development of chips to the use of chips in vehicles and build an innovation platform. The Ministry of Science and Technology has also done some support in this regard, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) recently, which has also given great support, and we have realized large-scale demonstration applications of performance testing or functions within the scope of automotive chips, software, operating systems, verification, and testing.
I think the chip ecology is very important, and when I suggested that the National New Energy Vehicle Innovation Center do a chip project, I hoped to build an open plug-and-play test and verification platform for independent chips, and do a good job in building and cooperating with enterprises. After the chip companies come, they will use the transitional port to plug and try, and they will also make an open source platform for software, on which independent software can achieve innovation, including college students, middle school students, and graduate students can participate in the open source platform. In this way, a safe, controllable, open and inclusive ecosystem of automotive electronic and electrical architecture, chips or software will be formed.
I also have a vision for the development of automotive chips, I hope to be able to carry out scientific research in an organized way in automotive chips, and organize chip companies or vehicle companies, of course, not to be completely organized by **, but also industry organizations, such as our association and the industry voluntarily organize chip companies and vehicle companies, in addition to organized common technology development, organized standards and testing and certification to try first, and organize the construction of a safe and controllable, open and inclusive chip and software industry chain to the world.
Second, China must have and use automotive chip software development and testing tools and equipment, and continuous iteration of collaborative innovation to form an independent ecology.
Third, the automotive chip industry is important and special, and the construction of a new ecology requires colleagues in multiple industries such as automobiles or chips to think together, reach consensus, act together, build together, share and share.
