The Q Lab X 6500 is an alternative to the Atlas xenon testchamber lamp

Mondo Social Updated on 2024-01-31

Q-Lab xenon lamps have a highly consistent output spectrum with ATALS xenon lamps, making them an alternative to ATALS xenon lamps.

The Q-Lab X-6500 xenon lamp is available for Atlas Weather-OmeterTM CI35, CI35A, CI65, CI65A, CI4000, &CI5000 and all Q-Lab xenon burn-in chambers.

The output spectrum of Q-Lab water-cooled xenon lamps is guaranteed to match the output spectrum of Atlas weather-ometers. The Q-Lab X-6500 water-cooled xenon lamp can be installed on Atlas Weather-Ometers CI35, CI35A, CI65, CI65A and CI4000 models, and its output spectrum is basically the same as that of the original lamp. The X-12000 water-cooled xenon lamp can be installed on the Atlas Weather-Ometer CI5000 device. Lamps are widely compliant with ISO, ASTM, SAE, and AATCC standards.

The Q-Lab X-6500 water-cooled lamps and filters guarantee the same spectral energy distribution as the products offered by the Atlas. Fitted to the Atlas Weather-Ometers CI4000, the X-12000 Q-Lab xenon lamp is guaranteed to be consistent with the output spectrum of the Atlas 20-3053-00 xenon lamp.

Xenon lamps must be properly filtered to get the right spectrum for each specific application. Differences in spectra can affect the speed and type of degradation. Three types of filters can be used to simulate a variety of service environments.

Daylight filter

Daylight filters are used to simulate direct midday sunlight in summer. For most applications, they provide the best possible correlation with natural exposure. Materials commonly used outdoors, such as roof or exterior paints, should be tested with daylight filters. The Q-SUN XE-3 test chamber is equipped with three different types of daylight filters. daylight-f, daylight-q, and daylight-b b.

Window glass filters

The window glass filter produces a spectrum equivalent to the sunlight passing through the window pane. The spectrum can also simulate other indoor light, such as harsh light in a typical commercial or office environment. Window glass filters can be used for interior materials such as printed materials and textiles. The Q-Sun XE-3 test chamber is equipped with four different types of window glass filters. : window-q, window-b sl, window-sf-5 and window-ir.

UV spread filter

UV extension filters produce excess UV rays that are lower than the normal reduction in sunlight. They are used to produce faster or more precise test results. UV Expanded Filters are specified for some automotive test methods and sometimes for aerospace applications. This type of Q-Sun filter as common as possible is the extended UV-QB.
