In 2024, the enrollment of undergraduate majors in opera will take the form of inter-provincial joint examination. On December 7, the Provincial Recruitment Institute issued a notice on the joint entrance examination, with a total of Chinese Opera Academy, ** Drama Academy and other schools enrolling, in principle, the joint examination will be arranged between December 2023 and February 2024. The undergraduate majors of opera that implement the inter-provincial joint examination include: performance (opera), composition and composition technology theory (xiqu), performance (xiqu performance), drama, film and television director (xiqu director), etc. Candidates are allowed to take different majors or drama directions at the same time.
In 2024, the universities that will enroll undergraduate majors in opera are: China Academy of Drama, ** Drama Academy, Shanghai Theatre Academy, Shandong University of the Arts, Zhejiang ** College, Jilin University of the Arts, Liaoning University, Lanzhou University of Arts and Sciences, Shenyang Normal University, Inner Mongolia Academy of Arts, Wuhan ** College, Henan University Henan Academy of Dramatic Arts, etc. (in no particular order). Those who meet the registration conditions for the 2024 college entrance examination in the province (autonomous region, municipality) where the students are located and have a certain foundation in opera art can register, and must participate in the national unified examination for the enrollment of ordinary colleges and universities, and the registration method is the same as that of ordinary candidates. After candidates choose the "opera" major according to the requirements of the province (autonomous region, municipality) where the student is from, complete the college entrance examination registration and pay the college entrance examination registration fee, according to the major (drama) they apply for, complete the professional examination registration for the inter-provincial joint examination of opera according to the requirements of the corresponding group examination universities, and pay the professional examination registration fee.
According to the arrangement of the examination centers of relevant majors (dramas), the six schools are responsible for organizing the joint examination. Among them, the Chinese Academy of Drama is the director of opera, the composition of opera, the performance of opera (Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, Henan Opera, Pu Opera), and the Chinese opera ** (Peking Opera, Kunqu Opera, Henan Opera, Pu Opera). Zhejiang ** College is for opera performances (Yue Opera) and opera ** (Yue Opera). Jilin University of the Arts is a performance of opera (Ji Opera) and opera ** (Ji Opera). Liaoning University is performing opera (Northeast local opera). Lanzhou College of Arts and Sciences is a performance of opera (Qin dialect, Long Opera) and opera ** (Qin dialect, Long Opera). Inner Mongolia Academy of Arts is a performance of opera (two-person stage performance). After the implementation of the inter-provincial joint examination for opera majors, the colleges and universities will no longer organize other examinations. Candidates who have not participated in the inter-provincial joint examination cannot participate in the enrollment and admission of opera majors.
In principle, the time of the 2024 inter-provincial joint examination will be arranged between December 2023 and February 2024, and the specific examination time of each major (drama) is subject to the announcement of the university in the group examination. The colleges and universities responsible for the group examination are responsible for releasing the results of the candidates' professional examinations, and the number of qualified students in each major (drama) shall not exceed 4 times the number of annual undergraduate plans for the major (drama) in principle. Candidates who have passed the professional examination can fill in the relevant college opera majors. On the basis of the candidates' scores in the cultural courses of the college entrance examination meeting the requirements stipulated by the province (autonomous region, municipality) where the students are from, the candidates will be selected according to the results of the candidates' major in the inter-provincial joint examination.
