Deng Hua, the founding general of the People's Republic of China, was born in a scholarly family in Hunan and received a good education as a child, but the turmoil in the country made him unable to study Xi with peace of mind, so he joined the pen and became a general who defended his family and country.
General Deng Hua and his wife Li Yuzhi conceived five children together, they were born in Yan'an, Liaoning, Tianjin, Guangzhou and Shenyang, and the birthplace of each child is evidence of his conquest in the north and south.
Deng Hua has fought for decades and commanded the troops to fight many tough battles, but he has never been wounded, which is quite legendary. But if you look at the story of his youth, you will find that his combat career is full of thrills.
In 1926, Deng Hua went to school in Changsha Yueyun Middle School and received a relatively advanced ideological education. After the defeat of the Great Revolution, Deng Hua resolutely joined the underground party.
After the Shonan Uprising, Deng Hua and his cousin both joined the uprising troops, but Deng Hua and his cousin had a disagreement on the direction of the troops.
At that time, Deng Hua insisted on following the troops to Jinggangshan, but his cousin wanted to take the troops back to his hometown to fight guerrillas, Deng Hua tried his best to dissuade him, but he failed to convince his cousin. The cousin patted his thigh and said, "Since you don't follow me, then we will separate here, you go to Jinggangshan, and I will go home to fight guerrillas." Deng Hua broke up with his cousin in desperation.
At that time, who could guess what would happen in the future, not long after Deng Hua went to Jinggangshan, he received news from his hometown: his cousin was caught by the Kuomintang as soon as he returned home, was beheaded, and hung on the city gate to show the public.
Deng Hua was very sad in his heart, it was one step that decided the two fates of him and his cousin.
On the battlefield, Deng Hua was almost never injured, and only turned over the car once when he was in North Korea, and his head was slightly broken. If there is one closest to death, it is when he first joined the revolution.
At that time, Deng Hua was just a student, and when he participated in the first battle, he was at a loss, and when the gunshots rang out, his company commander pressed him to the ground, which saved his life.
By the time of the Liberation War, Deng Hua had become a battle-hardened general. During the liberation of Siping, Deng Hua and the Kuomintang professor four times, with a half-column of troops, beat the enemy to only one guard platoon, and the Kuomintang commander Chen Mingren almost took out a pistol and prepared to commit suicide.
In 1949, Siye fought from Baishan and Heishui to the ends of the world, and after crossing the Yangtze River, Deng Hua's troops went south to liberate Guangzhou as the advance corps of Siye, and then received an order to liberate Hainan.
Not long after receiving the task of liberating Hainan, the Battle of Kinmen began, but in less than a week, the Battle of Kinmen failed. This defeat on the battlefield caused a lot of pressure on Deng Hua.
Soon a battle plan was formulated: Deng Hua was asked to draw on the experience of the Kinmen Battle and cross the strength of one army at a timeMainly used for sailboats;Strive to liberate Hainan in February.
However, under the current situation, these three points are difficult to achieve. First, the troops and the troops who had just finished fighting Guangdong and Guangxi turned back and waved their divisions eastward to the Leizhou Peninsula, but it was already the end of December, and the training could not be carried outSecond, there are difficulties with sailing **. Later, after research, Deng Hua put forward his own opinion, which is based on the premise of preparation.
After getting the consent of ***, the first thing Deng Hua had to solve was the problem of the northern soldiers being afraid of water. The northern soldiers were different from the southern soldiers, who had adapted to the water environment since childhood, and most of them were seasick, so Deng Hua let the soldiers exercise at sea, exercise on land, and train to swing.
At the same time, it is necessary to train to eat, three squads to eat, one squad to be full, one squad to be half full, and one squad not to eat, and then to see in which case the soldiers do not get seasick. Then, the troops converted the sailboat, removed the engine from the 10** truck, and installed it on the sailboat.
In terms of the style of operation, Deng Hua decided to smuggle in batches, first with the smuggling of small units and the cooperation of the Hainan Qiongya Column, then two battalion heads, and then two regiments.
In order to prevent the Kuomintang from fully grasping the movements of the PLA, Deng Hua also asked the corps and the army to set up weather stations to understand the tides and meteorological conditions of the sea.
In this battle to liberate Hainan, Deng Hua made a determination to win, and absolutely did not allow anyone to have the idea of retreating. During the second smuggling, the division commander of a reinforced regiment wavered after encountering a strong attack from the enemy, and asked Deng Hua if he wanted to retreat, and Deng Hua scolded on the spot: "Keep going, otherwise I will shoot you!."”
Taiping was originally made by generals, how can any general enjoy peace. This is Deng Hua's understanding of the "general's mission". So after the outbreak of the Korean War, Deng Hua went north to participate in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea.
It can be said that Deng Hua was the first commander of the troops to be determined to aid North Korea, because he has very rare qualities that can fight with the US military: steady, brainy, able to make decisions, and dare to make decisions.
Deng Hua really did not disappoint ***, after he just accepted the task, he made two key proposals to ***, which directly affected the ability to fight the first battle of the DPRK.
At first, the Military Commission decided to send two armies across the river first, but the two armies were only 100,000 people, while the enemy's total strength had reached 420,000, and the number of troops crossing the 38th parallel was also 130,000. So, Deng Hua proposed to *** that the 4 corps of the 13th Corps and 3 artillery divisions enter the DPRK at the same time.
Facts have proved that Deng Hua's proposal is completely feasible, and it was our army's superior forces that won the victory in the first battle of Korea.
Two days later, ** went to Dandong to inspect the combat readiness for going abroad, and Deng Hua once again proposed that it was not enough for only four armies to enter the DPRK, and one army was needed to maintain the rear. **Agreed to Deng Hua's suggestion and reported to the Military Commission.
* The Central Military Commission not only accepted the opinion, but also decided to transfer three corps of the Ninth Corps as the second batch of troops to fight in Korea.
Afterwards, ** praised Deng Hua and said: "Deng Hua is a person with rich knowledge, a lot of brains, a lot of vision for thinking about problems, and a lot of thoughtfulness." ”
Defending the country is still a soldier's duty, Deng Hua has been fighting for decades, has long been Xi to life in the army, and is very familiar with military affairs. However, after 1959, Deng Hua was in charge of agricultural machinery, which made him miss the army very much.
It wasn't until 1978 that General Deng Hua finally returned to the army that he had been thinking about for a long time. Deng Hua was very happy when the order of the Military Commission was issued to his family, but he thought that he had been away from the army for a long time and was worried that he would not be able to do his job, so he seized the time to read books and read materials.
Once at a meeting of the Military Commission, Deng Hua met General Hong Xuezhi, and when the two talked about the national defense industry, Deng Hua was very excited. As long as it is about the construction of the army, General Deng Hua is very concerned.
However, General Deng Hua fell ill not long after returning to the army, and due to the illness left over from the war years and overwork, Deng Hua's physical condition was very bad.
In 1980, Deng Hua left Guangzhou and returned to Beijing via Shanghai, but not long after arriving in Shanghai, his condition suddenly deteriorated, sometimes to the point of being unconscious.
In a coma, Deng Hua kept whispering: "I just don't die, I just don't die." ”Listening to all the tears of the family. The family knew Deng Hua too well, and his wish for many years was to return to the army, but now that he is really back, he is sick, and even in a coma, he still does not succumb to fate.
Deng Hua's son Deng Sui recalled that sometimes when he was in a semi-coma, Deng Hua would say repeatedly: "It's a pity!."What a pity!"It's a pity that he hasn't used his last bit of enthusiasm to serve in the army anymore.
However, even at the moment when his miracle was dying, Deng Hua was still thinking about the future of the country, thinking about the unfinished manuscript - "Several Questions on the Future Anti-Aggression War and National Defense Construction". On the occasion of his death, Deng Hua left his last words as follows: "I have fought for decades, and the people know me." ”
On July 3, 1980, General Deng Hua passed away, and it is a pity that he did not fulfill his desire to build the motherland in the last stage of his life, but his spirit will live on forever!
