In 2024, the Gobi Camp in New Shazhou will host two unique events – the Leaders Junior Gobi Parent-Child Growth Camp (721-728 and 815-822). This week-long event aims to cultivate teamwork, courage and perseverance among young people and families through the Gobi trekking, so that they can harvest growth and insight in the natural environment.
In the summer of 2024, teenagers and families from all over the country gathered in New Sandsa to prepare for this extraordinary journey to the Gobi. Before departure, the organizer gave a detailed introduction to the itinerary and safety precautions for the participants, so that everyone had a full understanding of the upcoming challenges.
As the sun rose, everyone was ready to set out on the journey to the Gobi. Along the way, they experienced the scorching sun, the howling wind, and the magnificence and loneliness of the Gobi. In this vast land, everyone has learned to support each other and overcome difficulties together, and the cohesion of the team has been greatly improved.
During the hike, the children not only exercised their bodies, but also were baptized in the depths of their souls. They have witnessed the greatness of nature and the fragility of life, and have learned to cherish the present moment and be grateful for life. At the same time, this journey with my parents has also brought the family closer and the family relationship has been sublimated.
After 2 days of study, 3 days and 88 kilometers of hiking, the Leader Youth Gobi Parent-Child Growth Camp was successfully concluded. This activity not only allowed the children to gain growth and friendship, but also to have a close and in-depth understanding of Dunhuang culture, and also allowed parents to experience the happiness of growing up together as a family. The participants said that this trip to the Gobi will become a precious memory in their lives.
Through this activity, the leaders not only showed courage and perseverance, but also exercised their leadership skills and teamwork spirit in practice. With the insights of this trip to the Gobi, they will move forward more firmly on the road of life in the future and become the pillars of the motherland.
As the organizer, the Gobi Trip will continue to be committed to holding more educational activities to provide more opportunities for young people and families to get close to nature and grow together. Let's look forward to how the leaders and young leaders will write their own glorious chapters in the coming days!
