Chemicals
At around 13:25 on January 15, 2023, Liaoning Panjin Haoye Chemical Co., Ltd. had a fire accident during the pressure sealing operation of the inlet pipeline of the washing tank of the alkylation unit, resulting in 13 deaths, 35 injuries, and a direct economic loss of about 87.99 million yuan. The direct cause of the accident is that the accident pipeline leaks, breaks in the process of pressure sealing operation, and a large amount of reaction effluent in the washing tank is sprayed out, which is mixed with air to form a ** vapor cloud, which encounters an ignition source and catches fire, resulting in on-site operations, monitoring and **shock wave affecting major personnel within the range.
On December 19, 2020, a 1 cubic meter emulsion reactor (the product is thiophene ethanol, and the main raw materials are toluene and sodium metal) in the gray workshop of Hainabel Chemical *** Gray Workshop in Wanbaoshan Park, Anda City, Heilongjiang Province suddenly occurred during the trial production period, resulting in 3 deaths, 2 serious injuries and 2 minor injuries. The direct cause of the accident was that during the preparation stage of thiophene ethanol production in the Gray workshop, the emulsion (toluene and sodium metal) was prepared due to the illegal operation of the operator, resulting in a sharp increase in the pressure in the emulsifier. The vaporized material in the emulsion kettle is sprayed out at high speed from the manhole where the seal fails, and quickly diffuses in the air to reach the first limit, and the combustibles such as toluene and sodium fly down to the adjacent workshop to ignite the combustibles, resulting in the rapid spread of the fire.
Fireworks
At 7:32 on December 4, 2019, a major accident occurred in the Shixia Work Area of Bixi Fireworks Manufacturing in Daping Village, Chengtanjiang Town, Liuyang City, Hunan Province. At about 1:50 on February 5, 2019, a large fireworks and firecrackers fire accident involving illegal operation occurred at Guoxiang Convenience Store, No. 655, Daliang Street, Daliang Town, Rong'an County, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, resulting in 5 deaths and direct economic losses of about 4.96 million yuan. The cause of the accident was that Zhang, the operator (person in charge) of Guoxiang convenience store, sold and stored fireworks and firecrackers in densely populated places, stacked fireworks and firecrackers outside the store, and set them off near the fireworks and firecrackers stacks.
Building construction
