Fuzhou, December 30 (Xinhua) -- On December 30, the Taijiang Furui Post Station of the "Cross-Strait Nursery Rhyme Tour" was opened in Fuzhou. The station will rely on community libraries, community family education, teachers and other advantageous resources to hold nursery rhyme-related activities.

The same is true in midwinter and spring, and the Langlang nursery rhyme is on both sides of the strait. Lin Moudong, deputy secretary of the Taijiang District Party Committee, said that in recent years, Taijiang District has taken new steps in strengthening cross-strait cultural exchanges and jointly inheriting Chinese culture.

At the event, teachers and students from both sides of the strait jointly brought nursery rhyme performances such as "Chasing Dreams", "Where Has Time Gone", "Cute Baby Celebrating the New Year" and violin performance "Little Star Variations", which won applause from the audience.

Cross-Strait Nursery Rhyme Journey" Zhuo Wei, director of Taijiang Furui Station, said that nursery rhymes are the memory of childhood, the inheritance of customs and the nostalgia of wanderers, and they are also the common cultural ties of Fujian and Taiwan. In the future, the station will hold activities such as "Childlike Innocence" nursery rhyme creation and exchange, so that children can learn to sing classic nursery rhymes on both sides of the strait, and further cultivate the identity of children on both sides of the strait with traditional Chinese culture, national language and values.

Launched in September 2023, the "Cross-Strait Nursery Rhymes Tour" was initiated by the Fuzhou Association for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification on Both Sides of the Taiwan Strait, and through the establishment of 99 post stations, various forms of cross-strait nursery rhyme cultural activities will be held to provide more communication platforms for children on both sides of the strait.
