Rose cuttings are one of the main methods of rose propagation, but the rooting speed is slower and requires a certain amount of patience and skill. In order to increase the rooting speed of rose cuttings, a quick method is described below:

1.Choose the right cuttings.

Choose healthy, pest-free rose branches, preferably semi-lignified branches that are born in the current year, which are vigorous and easy to root. The length of the cuttings is selected according to the needs of the cuttings, and the general length is between 10-15 cm.

2.Handle cuttings.

Cut off the top shoots and the bottom leaves of the selected cuttings, leaving 3-4 leaves. The cut should be smooth, not beveled or split. The treated cuttings should be placed in a cool and ventilated place away from direct sunlight.

3.Prepare the soil.

The soil texture of cuttings should be loose, breathable and well-drained, and vermiculite, perlite, and coir can be mixed in a ratio of 1:1:1. Load the soil into nursery pots or tray and gently compact.

4.Cuttings operation.

Insert the treated cuttings into the soil to a depth of 1 3 or 1 2 of the cuttings. Gently compact the soil so that the cuttings are in close contact with the soil. Then water thoroughly to keep the soil moist.

5.Conservation management.

Place the cuttings in a cool, ventilated place away from direct sunlight. Keep the soil moist and spray 1-2 times a day. The temperature is controlled between 20-25, which is conducive to rooting. As the cuttings begin to take root, gradually increase the time of light to promote growth.

6.Transplanting management.

Once the cuttings have taken root, they can be transplanted into pots or gardens. When transplanting, gently remove the cuttings with the soil and do not harm the root system. When planting, put the cuttings in the potting soil, gently compact the soil, and water thoroughly. Then place it in a cool and ventilated place for a few days, and then gradually increase the light time.

The above is a quick way to root rose cuttings. By following the above steps, you can greatly improve the rooting speed and survival rate of rose cuttings.
