Case:My baby is two months old. A physical examination revealed a high level of tension in his muscles, lower limbs and neck. During the examination, he was a little uncooperative. Sometimes when we do exercises for him at home, he doesn't feel so stiff. Sometimes he doesn't cooperate and his legs feel stiff.
A:If the child is born without hypoxic asphyxia, low muscle tone after falling asleep may not be a big problem. Nowadays, many parents are worried that their children will get cerebral palsy due to "high muscle tension". Some mothers have learned from the Internet that flying hands, tilting their heads, and landing on their toes are all manifestations of cerebral palsy. They find that their baby seems to have these manifestations as well, so they are very nervous and anxious. They sought medical advice everywhere, gave injections and all kinds of **, and the child suffered a lot. But I found that the vast majority of the babies who came to us for consultation were normal.
For this reason, I would like to tell parents and friends how to identify the so-called early manifestations of cerebral palsy, such as high muscle tone, flying hands, tilting the head back, and landing on toes. How can we properly deal with these issues and avoid causing unnecessary pain and harm to our children?First of all, the most important condition for the diagnosis of cerebral palsy is brain damage, and brain damage is present on cranial MRI films. If the child is born normally, is discharged from the hospital soon after birth, eats well, sleeps well, and grows and develops normally, he will not get cerebral palsy, even if it is a premature baby, or a little suffocation after birth, and there is no obvious brain damage.
Now let me explain the following four manifestations:1Problems with hypertonia: Flexor muscle tone is high after birth and gradually decreases after three or four months. Some are exercises for children, and the baby feels uncomfortable and resists, which is manifested as high muscle tone, but the muscle tone is not high after relaxation, so it is not really high muscle tone.
2.Regarding the backward tilt of the head, many normal babies often have a backward tilt when lying down, and when the baby is two or three months old, the mother still holds the child sideways, and the child is unwilling. The tilted head indicates resistance. Stand up and hold so you don't tilt your head back. Your head will stand nicely upright when you hold on to your seat. So when you're lying down, your head is tilted back, it's not pathological, it's normal. 3.The so-called airplane hand is when lying on the stomach, the upper limbs are straightened and backwards. This condition is common in normal babies before 5 to 6 months. It's not pathological. As long as your baby's hand is free to reach forward, there is no problem.
In addition to brain injury, the diagnosis of cerebral palsy has the following four points:1Backward development of sports;2.Abnormal muscle tone and posture;3.Decreased active movement and/or abnormal movements;4.Abnormal reflections, etc. Parents should never give normal children a "cerebral palsy" test. If the exercise causes your baby's muscles to tense, stop doing the exercise.
He can relax when he sleeps, he can also relax when he holds him, sometimes when he puts him on the bed to give him exercises, he sometimes feels his lower limbs are straining, sometimes he can be soft when he lies on the bed and does it, he eats, drinks and sleeps normally, but sometimes he doesn't sleep steadily, he loves to hum and love to work hard
A: Well, considering that the child is still young, he can eat and sleep, and usually relax. Not considered at this time.
She loves to be frightened, she can't sleep steadily, sometimes her body shrinks into a ball, and when she sleeps, she is startled, and her legs are raised.
A:These other children have it, and they insist on giving their babies vitamin D supplements.
Being frightened, not sleeping steadily, and lifting legs are all manifestations of a child's brain development and excitement of brain cells. 2-3 months old children can sleep for 2-3 hours and be held in a bag when they fall asleep, which can help reduce sleep disturbance and startles.
