This sentence deeply affected me, "Do difficult things hard, meet challenges by doing difficult things, improve yourself, and gain honor."
Start from scratch and break through yourself
Envy the typical "glamorous and beautiful", and look at the inactive self, "It's time to change!"."I made up my mind. Let's start with the military sports special, what others can do, I can also do. Pull-ups are my biggest difficulty, recalling that when I joined the army in 2009, I couldn't pull up any pull-ups, and in 2017, the results were only hovering on the edge of passing. I also complained about this, but when I calmly thought about it, I felt a little undeserved, as a squad leader, but also a party member, I must take the lead, if I can't practice!
Since then, I have been practicing for myself every day, and I was embarrassed at first, as a squad leader, I hung the bar every day, and I felt that my face was dull. But after thinking about it, I can't do it myself, so why am I embarrassed to ask the rest of the class?You have to break through yourself!
At first, it could only be hung for 30 seconds, then a minute, then a minute and a half, and the time became longer and longer. During this period, I insisted on doing at least 200 push-ups every day until my arms were sore and exhausted, and I pulled the horizontal bar every day when I had nothing to do, and I had to pull a group on the way back and forth to the toilet, and in this way, in less than a month, my score improved to 12. After tasting the sweetness, I gained confidence, and pulling the horizontal bar slowly became a habit, and by September 2021, the pull-up score had stabilized at around 24. The feelings of that year were as follows:
First, hardship brings breakthroughs. Not only can you bear the tiredness of training, but also the hardships of life. In 2021, I participated in the military physical training camp, and the most memorable thing is to control my diet. If you want to improve your performance in weight training, you must control your weight, and only by making yourself thinner and thinner can you improve your performance a few more. During that time, the high-intensity training led to serious imbalance in the body, only relieved by supplementing vitamins and proteins, after three weeks of intensive training, the weight was reduced from 165 pounds to 145 pounds, and the performance improved rapidly, this time was the most painful and the best memory.
The second is to insist on bringing breakthroughs. You can't fish for three days and dry your nets for two days. The soldier assault Li Wu Liuyi said that he was armed for 5 kilometers and ran 5,000 kilometers before he ran second in the whole division. In August 2021, the surface temperature was close to 40 degrees, and I completed 3,000 pull-ups in a month, breaking through from 15 to 24, which also laid a solid foundation for me to improve the horizontal bar to 42 in the later period.
Third, the goal brings breakthroughs. What supports me to train my physical fitness step by step is the goal. At first, I wanted to pass, to excel, and to be respected by others. Later, I hoped to set an example and let the little brothers in the platoon have a reference, veterans like me can practice like this and achieve results, they can do more. At the end of 2021, I was awarded the 3rd grade of military sports with a score of 464 points, and the moment the results were announced, I shed tears of excitement.
Face setbacks head-on and have no distractions
2022 is the second year that I have launched an attack on the military sports super, and this year is also a year full of pain, because of the high-intensity martial arts training, the cruciate ligament injury of the right knee, many comrades-in-arms advised me: "Old comrade, don't fight so hard, whether it is professional or physical fitness, it is the ceiling, take care of your body." ”
After each training, I went up and down the stairs by holding on to the handrails of the stairs, and there was a piercing pain in my knees, and I was shaking myself at this time, and I couldn't help but ask myself, is it okay or not?After a fierce ideological struggle, I told myself, "Even if you fall, you must fall on the way to the charge." So I started to do ** training, squatting against the wall, this action is an extreme test of perseverance, the process is very painful, from the beginning of 30 seconds, to 1 minute, to the end can complete 5 minutes of squatting against the wall, after three months of persistence, my knee has recovered as before.
Later, I participated in the driving training organized by my superiors, in addition to learning to drive every day, I practiced physical fitness, and made my own plan, 200 push-ups, 200 squats, 100 single-leg squats, 100 arm bracings, and 100 pull-ups every day. At the end of the year, I also successfully scored 468 points to be rated as the third grade of military physical fitness, proving myself again, "I'm okay!".”
Surpass yourself and be excellent in all aspects
In 2023, looking at the class motto of "striving for first-class and being excellent in all aspects", I secretly told myself, "The excellence of one person is not excellent, but the excellence of the whole class is excellent". At the beginning of the year, I set several goals: first, to achieve full excellence in the military physical assessment of the class, second, to train at least three special-grade personnel, third, to strive for an advanced class in military training, fourth, to obtain a collective third-class meritorious class, and fifth, to complete a full marathon.
Knowing the lack and forging ahead, looking at the distant mountains and moving forward. "From the moment I set my goal, I worked hard for honor all the time. This year, from 36 pull-ups to 54 and 16 horizontal bars in the assessment, it is a change brought about by 12,100 pull-ups in a whole year: more than 300 days and nights, recording the amount of training every day, and recording the assessment results every week, from 100 freehand pull-ups a day at the beginning, to 100 weight-bearing and 200 freehand pull-ups a day, and finally I was rated as a special level 1 with a score of 521. I think the best way to express my feelings at the moment is to be willing to do it, "The first thing to do between thinking and getting!"”
Since the beginning of this year, with my help and the joint efforts of the whole class, the two comrades-in-arms around me have both been rated as "special level 3", truly realizing the three special personnel in a class, and the goals set at the beginning of the year have also been completed. Looking back, the light boat has crossed the ten thousand mountains, the burden on the body has been put down, and the hardships have become the sweetness of the harvest.
