BEIJING, Feb. 1 (Xinhua) -- The British "Daily Telegraph" reported that an attack on people with acid liquid spilled on the evening of January 31 occurred in the Krafam district of southern London, the British capital, and nine people, including children and police.

"A woman and her two young children, as well as three adult wounded, have been taken to hospital for acceptance**," the Metropolitan Police said in a statement, adding that three other officers suffered minor injuries.
The incident took place on the rue de lé Lysar. Reuters, citing sources from the London Fire Department, reported that firefighters used specialized equipment at the site of the incident to detect a corrosive substance. The fire department did not disclose further details.
Metropolitan Police ** Alexander Castle said it was a "horrific incident" and was chasing a man who had fled the scene.
Multiple witnesses told the British Sky news channel that a man driving a white car, tried to hit a woman, and then pulled one of the two or three-year-old girls out of the car from the back seat and dragged her to the ground. The man then threw liquid in the woman's face, who yelled "my eyes, my eyes".
According to eyewitnesses, the man appeared to know the woman who was splashed with acid, and the two were arguing before the move.
