Bill Lum, Switzerland Luxury watchmaker Armin Strom today announced the launch of two new models for its revolutionary Tribute 1 collection. A postmodern interpretation of classic dress watches, the collection debuted in June this year and was sold out in an instant limited edition of just 25 pieces. Aficionados who missed out on the Tribute 1 premiere grey 18k white gold barrel bridge now have the opportunity to add a new addition to their watch collection. Two versions: black and blue, limited to 100 pieces each. Armin Strom's unique taste for time
From a distance, Armin Strom's Tribute 1 is a classic hand-wound dress watch. The attractively slim profile is presented in a well-measured 38 mm stainless steel case. Paired with an elegant alligator leather strap. See here, it has everything you'd expect from a dress watch at Haute Horlogerie. However, if you look a little closer, you will immediately see that while master watchmaker Claude Greisler has embraced the prestigious tradition of watchmaking, he has once again redefined a style with a watch, one that showcases the brand's unique taste for time and captivates everyone.
Research results in three-dimensional space
Like every Armin Strom, the Tribute 1 is a testament to the brand's deep study of three-dimensional space. First of all, the off-center dial discreetly displays the hours, minutes, and seconds. In stark contrast to the dial is the frustrated-treated adjoining plate, which allows the dial to subtly transition from one hue to another as the light shifts. The already striking surface bears the barrel bridge, the hallmark of Armin Strom's exclusive timepiece. The crown of the Tribute 1 is located at 2 o'clock, a design detail designed for greater comfort for the wearer.
The in-house calibre AMW21 is powered by a highly efficient cassette motor with a shank shaft that drives the mainspring and offers an eye-popping 100-hour power reserve. Exceptional hand-crafted finishing
Another hallmark of the Tribute 1 is Armin Strom's dedication to exceptional hand-crafted finishing. Claude Geisler said: "I love every detail of this watch, especially its finish. For example, the watch's cassette, visible from the side of the dial, is carved by hand with an extremely time-consuming effort. The homemade hands are also manufactured, polished and decorated by us, and although it takes a lot of effort, the skill of doing so ensures quality and the best reason. ”
"There must be a reason".
Armin Strom's co-founders, Claude Geisler and Serge Michel, and their team follow the principle summed up by Geisler: "Every watch is something new." This motto may seem unpretentious at first glance, but behind the rest lies a profound brand philosophy: the brand has always fused the hallmarks of classic watchmaking – inspired by vintage pocket watches – with modern innovations. Each of the brand's watches earns itself a "raison d'être" by contributing meaningful new elements to watchmaking standards.
Tribute 1 watch, hand-wound, hand-finished, artisan-made, hand-decorated
On the occasion of the launch of the new Tribute 1 model, Armin Strom is introducing two models that are already exciting for watch enthusiasts: a black dial and a blue dial. The key word is "handmade". This hand-wound watch features a wide range of hand-finished, hand-engraved and hand-decorated watches for CHF 13,900. The number "1 to 100" engraved on the case back indicates the number of the limited edition.
