4.Empress Dowager Cixi's Influence: Empress Dowager Cixi took de facto power during the reign of Emperor Guangxu, and her reign had a profound impact on the politics, economy, and society of the Qing Dynasty.
The Guangxu Emperor faced many challenges during his reign, and he tried to promote China's modernization process through the Wuxu Reform, but ultimately failed. His rule was limited to some extent by the Empress Dowager Cixi, and also by conservative forces within the Qing Dynasty. The cause of his death is also full of suspicions.
