My first watch, my first "expensive" watch, my first Rolex ......Watches have been the norm in my life for a while now, and I've experienced a lot of major "firsts". Even so, the watches that excite me the most in my collection also happen to be the cheapest. Yes, I'm looking at my regular rose gold Casio watch, which is mounted on a black plastic strap. Wristwatch. There's not much to say about the watch itself: classic Casio. With a rose gold-tone case and a black strap, this watch pairs perfectly with most items but still adds a touch of sparkle to the overall look. It has a digital time and date display, a powerful battery, the ability to set an alarm, and while it's not officially waterproof, it can certainly survive in showers and pools. Signs of wear?A lot. There will definitely be more in the future, but I don't really care because that's what Casio is really for.

The purchase. I bought this watch because I love it – or maybe I'm just a little bored. I was on vacation, hanging out in town and it was in the window. The store is open, ** is cheap, and the buying process is a breeze. I wear it on my wrist and it looks great. Within minutes, I was out the door.

Merit. I originally bought this Casio watch for a vacation. When I don't want to wear an expensive watch because I'm worried about being stolen or damaged, I think it's going to be a watch I can wear on any occasion. But I quickly realized that it could do so much more. It's so accurate that it doesn't need to be set up even after being shelved for a few weeks. Plus, it's relaxing to wear. I don't have to think about its amazing complexity or think about its story. Also, I got a lot of compliments. I don't know if it's because of the look of this watch or because I'm able to wear a Casio watch as elegantly as a Rolex, but I always get a lot of positive feedback when this watch is on my wrist.
Implement. A few weeks after buying the Casio, I found myself using it more and more often and even started wearing it to work. At first, I thought I was trying to stay in vacation mode, but then I started to realize, no, it's the watch itself. It turned out to be more than just a cheap casual watch, but a watch that I cherished and loved as much as the others in my collection.

Love. It also surprised me to realize that I like my Casio as much as I like my Rolex Datejust. After all, I wasn't on the waitlist, didn't save money for it, and didn't even choose it very carefully. But then again, that's what makes it so special. It reminds me of how easy it can and sometimes should be to buy a watch!No waiting, no repeat visits to boutiques, no hesitation about models or purchases – just seamless, fast purchases.
It also reminds me of how easy it is to wear a watch. It's a carefree watch that I can wear anytime, anywhere. I wouldn't be frustrated if I accidentally hit it against a wall or table. I never had to think about taking it off while cooking or doing any other activity. Even though I wear every watch, I must admit that none are as easy to wear as my Casio – and it feels great!
