On January 4, the public service platform of Pudong New Area was unveiled. The platform undertakes and collects and publishes information on innovative projects, organizes and implements innovative projects, and unveils and takes the lead. Over the past year, a total of 216 projects have been listed, including 203 enterprise projects, with a total intention to invest more than 700 million yuan, and a total of 26 enterprise list projects have been successfully unveiled and signed, with a total amount of more than 75 million yuan.
On January 17, the NDA for serplulimab injection, an innovative biologics independently developed by Henlius, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration. In 2023, a number of innovative drugs (new indications) in Pudong New Area will be approved by the National Medical Products Administration, including deuterium hydrobromide tablets, adebelimab injection, glutatinib tablets, nalusolimab injection, benaglutide injection for new indications, etc.
On January 18, the National Health Insurance Administration announced the adjustment of the National Medical Insurance Drug Catalogue and the new version of the catalogue, and a number of innovative drugs from many local enterprises and multinational pharmaceutical companies in Pudong were included in the new version of the National Healthcare Drug Catalogue.

On April 9, Tesla's energy storage super factory project settled in Lingang New Area. The plant will plan to produce Tesla's ultra-large commercial energy storage batteries, with an initial annual production of 10,000 commercial energy storage batteries and an energy storage scale of nearly 40GWh, covering the global market.

On May 28, the world's first C919 large passenger aircraft officially began commercial passenger flights. China Eastern Airlines officially launched the world's first commercial passenger flight of this aircraft with the world's first C919 large passenger aircraft delivered by COMAC. In 2023, COMAC has delivered three C919s to China Eastern Airlines, with more than 1,000 hours of stable operation.
On July 8, the "Leading the Future, Empowering and Rejuvenating - 2023 World Artificial Intelligence Conference Pudong Forum" was held. On November 1, the 2023 Pudong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference was held. On November 4, the first large-scale cruise ship "Aida Modu" in China was officially named and delivered. On November 17, Glen Concy Communication Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. was listed on the Science and Technology Innovation Board. On November 25, the 2023 Global Digital Business Conference opened. On December 6, Shanghai Waigaoqiao High Value-added Ship Intelligent Manufacturing Demonstration Factory was awarded the 2023 National Intelligent Manufacturing Pilot Demonstration Factory.
