During his speech, there were also two close-ups of the Chinese international referee Ma Ning in the law enforcement game. Corina affirmed the overall performance of the referees in the past year by analyzing the successful enforcement cases of the Chinese international referee team during the opening match of the 2022 Club World Cup match between Cairo National of Egypt and Auckland City of New Zealand.
Taking advantage of the 2023 Club World Cup in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, FIFA also hosted its 2023 annual summit there. At the meeting, FIFA had extensive exchanges with the heads of the participating member associations on various aspects of football. Song Kai, chairman of the Chinese Football Association, was also invited to attend the conference.
It is understood that the review and summary of the law enforcement work of referees in international football this year, especially the law enforcement work of various competitions sponsored by FIFA, is also an important content of the meeting. In his opinion, with the joint efforts of football federations on all continents, member associations and their registered international referees, the level of enforcement in this year's FIFA competitions has always remained at a high level. With the help of modern technologies such as VAR, the accuracy of decisions made in football matches has also improved. Of course, more importantly, the referees' own professional ability, law enforcement response and psychological pressure resistance have also been significantly improved.
