Juventus beat Monza in a thrilling Serie A match to end their unbeaten run at home this season. There were thrilling moments in the 15th and last five minutes of the game, with a stunning 94th-minute goal helping Juventus to victory and leapfrog Inter Milan to the top of the table. At the start of the game, Monza's Giorgios Kyriakopolos fouled Federico Chiesa in the box, resulting in a penalty.
However, Dusan Vlahovic's penalty was saved by Monza goalkeeper Michel Di Gregorio and two consecutive saves blocked the follow-up shot. Juventus took the lead in the 12th minute when Adrian Rabiot took advantage of a leak in Monza's defence to score with a header. The Old Lady almost extended the score, but Federico Gatti's shot went over the crossbar.
In the second half, Monza had a clear advantage on the ball but failed to cause problems for Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Ĺ esny. However, the game took a thrilling turn in the 91st minute when Valentin Carboni's cross-cross shot into the back of the net to equalise for Monza. The cheers on the pitch were brief as Gatti saved his chance after an initial miss-shot in the fourth minute of stoppage time to score a stunning winner. With this victory, Juventus are now one point ahead of the Serie A standings, one point above Inter. Inter Milan will have a chance to reclaim the top spot in an upcoming match against Napoli.
