Walking into the new Sanxingdui Museum, you can see more than 1,500 sets of cultural relics such as the bronze statue of the top statue of the riding beast, the bronze bird-foot statue and the pig-nosed dragon decorated with the tooth zhang pattern, the ** mask, and the bronze Daliren. In order to allow the audience to understand the cultural relics and the stories behind them in detail, Sanxingdui Museum has used a lot of new technical means in the design of the exhibition.
Luo Hong, Librarian of the Academic Research Department of Sanxingdui Museum: This area is a few cultural relics that we put together across the pit, it is called the bronze bird-foot statue, which is composed of the bronze curved top statue of the No. 8 pit and the dragon-holding statue of the No. 8 pit, as well as the bronze dragon-shaped vessel of the No. 3 pit, and the bronze bird-foot statue we unearthed in 1986. The cultural relics you see now are the shape of the complete bronze bird-foot statue that we have restored through 3D printing.
In the new Sanxingdui Museum, you can see everywhere the integration of scientific and technological means and cultural relics exhibition. In such a glass house next to me, the archaeological cabin is restored with naked-eye 3D technology, allowing the audience to experience the archaeological site immersively.

In addition to the exhibition design, the Sanxingdui Museum is also unique in the display of cultural relics protection and restoration, where visitors can get close to the process of cultural relics restoration.
In the Sanxingdui Museum's Cultural Relics Protection and Restoration Hall, the glass curtain wall distinguishes the working area for cultural relics protection and the visiting area for tourists. From the previous closed-door archaeological restoration to the open-ended cultural preservation and restoration display, the audience can only see static cultural relics to dynamically feel the whole process of cultural relics restoration. Through the glass wall, visitors can see a laboratory archaeological area full of technology.
